That would be a hell of a team if they kept Schneider...

Geez....dangerous.
Geez...that 3rd line sucks and has been overated ever since it had their 15 games of fame in the playoffs when the Ducks won he cup. Niedermayer is a soft, over the hill veteran, Moen is just your regular 4th line grinder and well Pahlsson is good but doesn't bring a whole lot of offense.

My vote is Schneider

I see LA or Thrashers stepping up and I see them getting a sweetheart deal

Since when is a team's checking line supposed to produce?

Its a shutdown line, and one of the very best in the league. Just because they're not built like the Canadiens doesn't mean they aren't any good

That's pretty much an identical makeup to the team that won the Cup 2 years ago, with Morrison replacing McDonald, and Ryan replacing Penner.

Anaheim is a definite contender for the Cup, regardless of what you think of that line.

I think the Ducks will have a 100+ pts season and will be very dangerous in the playoffs.

But their 3rd line still sucks IMO.

Then suggest someone else because that has often been the discussed line combinations. Your not going to breakup one of the best checking lines in the game and I dont see anyone else to have.

Part Ducks fan here too. I dont know which line they will play more. But they will probably see equal time.

Anaheim's 3rd line is certainly more effective than Montreal's. They were split up for most of last year due to injuries and Selanne not being there. Not only was it dominant in those playoffs but also during the season.

Kunitz or Selanne? Chemistry can be off one season and work the next.

Im not saying Ryan doesnt have the potential to be there by season's end, but let him get a bit more experience before sticking him with Getzlaf and Perry.

Where else is he going to play? No the Bottom 6, and not on the second line becasue Selanne plays with Kunitz (chemistry), and he's not a center. Plus, the twins will help him produce more than he would on another line.

check their quality of competition stats and the defense they play in front of, along with goaltending, and then say they suck. at least they have a checking line. what does the habs have? Lapierre? Chipchura? who cares.

The habs have enough skilled wingers to roll 3 offensive lines, way better than some plugs. Habs 3rd line will be even better this year now that they've ditched that loafer smolenski.
