** If Buffalo intends to move one of their snipers (Kotalik/ Afinogenov), they'd be better off moving Kotalik. GMs are not going to pay full value for Afinogenov until he returns to his old form and plays a couple seasons of concussion-free hockey. Right now he's worth Horcoff and a 3rd to Edmonton
Since Naslund had a concussion recently, his value must be low.I think Adam Mair and a 4th would be enough for Naslund, giving his concussion problems
Afinogenov had 1 concussion. He's been playing great this year IMO,and has shown no effects from it.
Semantics, Briere. The fact remains: Afinogenov's worth to Edmonton does not exceed Horcoff & 3rd. He would be playing behind Hemsky & Dvorak if he played on the right or behind Smyth & Torres if on the left.
It would be better to leave out all the accessories and cut to the chase:
Smith ----- for ----- Biron/ Noronen
Smith ----- for ----- Philly's 1st round pick
That's a pretty handsome offer. I can't imagine Buffalo being offered much better.
