The steal of the draft will be my 20th rounder: Zach Bogosian.
Rookie blueliners are a big question mark, and Bogosian won't put up many points this season IMO. He'll likely be used mostly 5o5, and he'll be asked to play steady and not be noticed. Later in his career he'll likely put up points, but for now Toby Enstrom has the lock on PP time.

You may be right but I think it all comes down to Hainsey. IMHO he was signed as a hedge against Bogosian being completely out of his element, something I doubt will happen.
And after seeing Hainsey run the Jackets power play, I have a feeling that Bogosian will be running the second unit for Atlanta by the all-star break.
I think Bogosian is a special player and will surprise a lot of people. I wouldn't be shocked if he's in the Calder hunt at the end of the year.

Good points. Hainsey is really the question mark. The only problem is, the Thrashers barely have enough legit scorers to fill one PP unit, I cringe at who may play on their second unit.

I have never had a team on Yahoo before, and I can't seem to figure out all of the mechanics of it yet. I think we have two spots that we can use for IR players. I am not sure how to move a player onto the IR spot. I had one of my draft picks, Wisniewski, that got hurt and is out until December. The roster shows him on IR, but I can't figure it out. I just went ahead and dropped him on and put in a claim on someone else, but it hasn't processed yet. I just want to know about the IR spot for the rest of the season. Thanks.

Yeah, you have 2 spots, It's tough between now and the start of the season, because teams aren't putting guys on IR yet, so consequently, you can't put them on your IR, and they take up a spot. For a long injury like that, yeah drop him, and use the note feature, to remind yourself to keep checking back to see if he is healthy again.
In my experience though, there's a lot of short term IR stuff (2-3 weeks) and your 2 IR spots are best used for those, and it's best to just drop somebody who will be out half a season or more.
