Glen Murray with Big Joe in SJ ?

Speculations from the Boston Globe :
Quote:
Meanwhile, Murray, bought out here in July, remains without work. If he's up for it, maybe Muzz can get himself an invite/tryout with San Jose, banking on a resurgence with ol' pal Jumbo Joe Thornton dishing him the puck. Both the Ducks and Kings likely would be willing to extend Murray a guarantee, too

With what cap space? I could see Muzz coming back here, hell he still lives here.

Cheechoo on the move?

Seriously. Murray's done as an effective scorer.

Why would you guess Cheechoo?

McLaren is most likely. Maybe Lukowich down the line.

Well Murray had his best seasons with Thornton. I don't see how getting him would be bad. Especially if they traded Mclaren.

I would love Mclaren in Boston...Too bad we have enough bottom pairing guys.

It's a good thing you're joking because that, if it were serious, would be the dumbest logic ever.

The only invited-to-camp forward I see the Sharks possibly signing is Jeff Freisen (and him close to minimum). I think there's more chance of Mark Parrish signing in SJ than Murray.

And unlikely much will happen until the Sharks are under the cap.

Sure, the Ducks can pay him with candy bars.

I realize you did put this under the "speculation" heading so it's technically okay, but isn't this just some journalist wondering outloud? What's the difference between him saying it and anyone else?

That gave me a very amusing vision.
