However, I think the man is learning, and is slowly picking things up. Let's not forget, this was one of the most successful NHL player-agent in the history of the NHL. He's clearly intelligent enough to know which players to have as clients.
I like some of the recent moves they've made. While I'm indifferent towards Comrie, Burke wasn't going to be a huge asset to them any longer. They are bringing along prospects such as Sjostrom and Taffe along the right away, and Doan and Nagy are being given the room to be the superstars they can be. Next up is Mara, whom I'm expecting a big year from next year.
He's not great yet, Barnett, but he's getting better.
Tanabe is more likely to bust out first.. but Mara is unappreciated too you're right.
This "joke" team has one of the youngest and leanest rosters entering the CBA talks. Savage is the only large-sized contract left now and they have just locked up Doan till 2007. Phoenix ought to be in a strong financial position in the future to make favorable deals with struggling teams.
Go back to bed, try again when you have something useful to add. The team has one of the better first lines in hockey and a solid group of young defensemen. They've built the Coyotes for a post-CBA, post-AWA world. They look pretty decent heading into it.
