I know he's a 2013 eligible player but don't want to start a whole new thread for it but what do you think of Brian Williams? 95 born LA Selects. BTW the 95 team has beaten the 94 team most of the time they play each other I've heard.
on google it says 6'1" 155lbs dated november 2008. he must be taller now.
About 6'3 170. But I wonder why he isn't listed on any of the Colorado Thunderbirds teams, is he playing elsewhere? Maybe he's pulling an Ambroz and playing as an underager in the USHL, Waterloo holds his rights.
Here is one of my posts from a thread that is discussing the top 1994 DOB players.
Quote:
These are the top 15 players to watch out for from Ontario playing in the ETA: Riley Brooks, Drake Caggulia, Adam Chapman, Connor Crisp, Brendan Gaunce, Justin Kea, Matt Lamasurier, Mitch Morris, Wil Pointon, Zach Skubnik, Avery Allan, Andy Munroe, Daniel Ranouf, DJ Howorko, Devin Shore, Connor Armor, James Lapin and Joey Borsa. In a previous post, I ranked some of them. These rankings may appear a bit low because I didn't want to be overly optimistic because this year will determine a lot when it comes to the OHL Priority draft. Gaunce and Kea should be first round picks. If Kea can learn to play more physically, better utilize his teammates in the future, and mature a bit more on the ice, than he should be a sure fire top 10 pick. He's a true power forward in this league and is a natural goal scorer. Sometimes power forwards don't transition very well at the next level, but he skates surprisingly well for a big guy, and definately has a scoring touch. If he can put some more weight around his frame, he might be able to make a large impact at the next levels. Some scouts have said that Gaunce is more talented than Matio Marcantuoni and Koekkoek, which is a testament to how skilled he actually is. He has a very good chance at making an impact at the next level too.
This is also only looking at players who compete in the ETA OHMA AAA league. It doesn't cover Alliance, SCTA, GTHL, etc.
Who now a best Latvian players for 1994??Ithink Zemgus Girgensons, Nikita Jevpalovs and Richards Kondrats from Sk Riga 94 will be elliglible for 2012 NHL they have tournament inChicago 2 of november. I think some OHL scouts will look on them
Zemgus Girgensons-1.83 cm 75 kg born 01.10.1994
Nikita Jevpalovs-1.79 cm 75 kg born 09.09.1994
Ruchards Kondrats-181 cm 70 kg born ??????
update: Martin Frk is tied for the lead in point for his junior team and in the top 10 in the league so far. 5 games - 3 goals - 5 assists = 8 points - U20 Juniors - Karlovy Vary
edit I beleive he now has 8 games - 4 goals - 6 assists -10 points since the hokej.cz stats dont get updated every week.
Still only 15 and playing in the under 20 league and dominating, each year I get more excited about this prospect.
I dont remember a Czech kid dominating this much since...a long time ago.

Martin Frk with a hatrick last night.
9games-7goals - 7assists - 14 points
as a 15 year old in U20 juniors.
leads his team in goals and points, tied for second with three other in the league for goals and tied in 4th place for points.
this kid is the real deal, even if he stopped progressing he is already one of if not the top players in Czech juniors. no doubt there will be more and more talk about him over the next couple years, especially in NA. For now though as a prospect outside of NA that wont be drafted until 2012(late born) he is remaining under the radar, but that wont last. Hopefully he play in world juniors this year and get some real exposure(which isnt always a good thing though).
played today again against Praha Slavia but not sure the outcome and plays on monday.
Falcons 93. Wow I am stunned at some of your prospects from the 94 ETA. They only one that I might come close to agreeing with is the Gaunce kid. He is a good player on an average team. No way he goes in the top 10 though. There are at least 15 kids from the GTHL that are far superior to him. Gaunce does have pedigree and that will serve him well at the draft. I have seen Kea play at least 10 times this year alone and he is not even close to a first rounder. If he goes before the 3rd round I will be very suprised. Howorko is the 4th best D man on his team(toros). You did not mention McIvor but you tout Armour from Whitby, that alone leaves your credibility in question. McIvor is the only ETA 94 who has a chance at 1st round. Adam Chapman is a soilid player but hasnt played in the ETA in 3 years. I suppose if you are talking about 3 years ago than the players you listed are somewhat credible but in 2009 players like Cagullia, Shore and Pointon have fallen way off the charts. The YSE players you mentioned are solid but mid round picks at best.
Filip Vaško 10.12.1993 playing for HC Košice U20 this season, I believe he is the youngest player in the U20 Extraliga- 8GP 2G 3A 5PTS, last season he had 22G 28A 50PTS in 44GP in the U18 Extraliga.

Not as good as Frk or Hertl but could be solid prospect.
So is Martin Frk the early frontrunner for the 2012 draft?
yes(with a few other players obviously from other countries) but the draft is still far away and lots of things can change. imo he looks like the best Czech prospect in a very very long time though, extremely skilled and smart, putting up big points at high levels and international play and has good size. people were already talking about Voracek and Frolik when they were the same age and they were in the running for first overall going in to their draft year and ended up being drafted high (around top 10) and are good players already and will only get better. Frk is much much better at the same age and probably will be slightly biger so we will see what happens.
hey Czech expert I would be curious to hear your assessment of Frk? Are you as high on him as I am? I just dont remember a player like him in a very long time.

One more interesting player:
Tomáš Hertl (Slavia-J20) (11/12/93): 13gp 5g+8a=13pts
Yeah I heard about him but havent been paying enough attention, that should change I guess. Looks like he is 183cm tall which is 1 above Frk and he is two months younger, not bad. Any info and comparisons between Frk would be nice as im not in the Czech republic right now and dont get to see them again until January.
Martin Frk now leads Czech juniors in penalty minuets. In his case I think that is a good sign as he plays definitely a rougher type of game then your average Czech player. Probably because he looks up to Ovechkin and likely tries to emulate his game. Obviously though its not all good to lead the league in penalty minuits but overall in his case its a good sign in my books. I also have a feeling that being the player he is he might try to come to NA juniors, this wouldnt be a good thing for Czech hockey but probably would help him.
so
15 games - 10 goals - 10 assists - 20 points - 97 penalty minuits
around top 10 in points, goals and top in penalty minuits in the league.
he also turned 16 this October so no longer a 15 year old.

and what about Emils Potapovs? He's playing in one shift with Zemgus Girgensons last year and he is really good too.
