It was a thread on the first page, not like you had to go looking for it.

Well you could at least read the thread titles on the first page...

There might be one already there.

Congrats to the Habs and Roy. Im an Oiler fan and we had to put up with his "incROYable" goaltending as an Av. But I always respected his play and liked his attitude. And you're right, he just looks right in a Habs jersey. (Just like Gretzky in Oiler silks!)
Top three goaltender all time. Maybe number 1!

I did see "Habs will retire Roy's #33" thread but THERE IS a difference between "Habs will retire Roy's #33" and "Patrick Roy Wearing Bleu, Blanc et Rouge"...which is why created a new thread.

But I guess you can't...if merging the thread makes you feel happy, then go ahead...actually you already did, so nevermind.

There it is I don't know if this was posted before, I didn't see it.

It's about time this ugly episode in Canadiens history is going to be over with. If it wasn't for Mario Trembley, Patrick Roy would have retired a Canadien and would have never been traded.

Good to see Patrick honored in this fashion!!!!

We have all discussed this previously...the two headed dragon if you will, and fans will always be divided on Patrick's sweater being retired. When he did, what he did in 95 I was more upset with him than Tremblay, but make no mistake they are both to blame! The Habs have never been able to let a player think they are bigger than the team, and rightfully so...but I really feel that both he and Tremblay, and Houle and Corey all should have been better equipped to handle the situation. Anyhow, what's done is done, and although I have been pi$$ed with Roy for a long time, time does heel all wounds...November 22nd is a big day for the Habs and Patrick, and if Bob Gainey can forgive and forget, than so can I...
