Lupul is projected to get about 50 points while Carter is being projected at around 63 points.

Ok, so the trade has been revised:

To me:
Mike Richards
Simon Gagne
Milan Hejduk

From me:
Eric Staal
Patrick Kane
Ryan Malone

I'm still wary, but what do you guys think? I'd say it could end up equal or in my favor at C, (barring injury) in my favor at LW and a downgrade at RW. Given my team, I'm looking for stronger RW and goaltending, and I have a bunch of D to throw around. I have a deal on the table, Jones + Holmstrom for Theodore (the guy with Theodore has 10 goalies so hopefully he'll take it).

How are you saying Lupul is only projected for 50 points? He had 46 points last year in only 56 games and a lot of those games he was playing hurt. He would have easily been over the 60 point marker last year if hatcher didnt run him over.

Because his productivity dropped significantly when he returned from that injury as well last year. I'm sure that was heavily factored. Also that is not my projection, that is the perdiction I read for him. Personally I hope him and Carter both break out and have 40 goal seasons.

Most guys dont come back from an injury where they miss an extended period of time and pick up right where they left off, That doesnt mean the following year their production will go backwards. I just cant see him only putting up 4 more points in 26 more games.

Kopitar has 100 point potential in my opinion.

I realize this but he also completely fell off the map at the end of the season. I think that had a lot to do with it. Regardless, I'm just telling you what I've read. Lupul is expected to reach 50 pts while Carter is expected to get 63 pts. I'm just reporting what the "experts" have listed.

Dont do that!

Try Briere straight up for Richards.

I already tried and he won't take that deal... I think Kostitsyn and Richards is over paying a bit... however guys like Naslund and Zherdev are on waivers so i would pick one of those up...

I picked up Bobby Ryan on waivers at the expense of Antoine Vermette and then made this trade:

To me:
Mike Richards
Simon Gagne
Corey Perry
Andrei Kostitsyn

From me:
Eric Staal
Ryan Malone
Patrick Kane

I think that was pretty even

I'm guessing you aren't too happy about that now...

On the other hand, you did make out in the deal.

I think I'd keep Lupul. I think he's gonna have a heck of a year.

If hes giving you Vanek for Lupul straight up, take it! I dont care who you have at LW, take him and if you need to you can turn around and trade him for someone much better than Lupul.

Not if hes playing with Metro and Hartnell on the 3rd line. Even if he was a 2st liner he wouldnt put up Vanek-like production.

I agree. But do you actually think Gagne is going to last the season? He'll be bumped up.

*knocks wood*

man, I sure hope so.. I have Gags too... along with Briere and Kimmo... which is another reason why Lups is expendable. As much as I love the Flyers I dont want too many in fantasy cuz its not good for your team to have a lot of players from one team..

You and me both. Trust me, I love the guy (Gagne) and think he's key to us taking the next step.

Yeah, you never want too many players from one team...unless it's the Red Wings *sigh*

I agree Gags might not last the season but even if he doesnt it doesnt mean lupul will be moving up tot he first line role. Lupul has never been close tot he kind of production vanek puts up, vanek had 36 goals and 64 points and everyone said he was a disappointment. Hes guarenteed to be on a top line with 2 great young players and is guarenteed a spot on the top PP unit, he should be back to the 80 point area this way for sure. Lupul will be 2nd PP unit and 3rd line with 2 grinders unless theres an injury. I think anyone can agree that if Lupul gets 60 points we will all be happy while if vanek scores 60 points people will start labeling him a bust.
