GDT: Flames vs Avs (Tues, Feb 24th)

Oh man, this may be a tough one. The Avs are in the elite in the west, and the Flames get get to roll into their town and face the Colorado juggernaut!

This could get messy! Then again, maybe the Flames will step up tonight!?!

Who is not dressed for tonight's game?
Starting goalie??!?!
Turek is playing well now, should we start him??
Scoring predictions?
Final score prediction??

The game will be a tough one. Blake is rumoured to return as early as tonight, Mike Fisher sparked the Sens in his return...Blake is easily capable of doing the same for the Avs. Does anyone know when Yelle will be back in the lineup? A return tonight would obviously be helpfull. I'd like to see Kipper get the start tonight to let him get into a bit of a groove. The one game on, one game off system can be really tough on goalies. As far as the scoring line goes i think that it could be 2-2, maybe a overtime decision either way. We really need at least one point in this one! Tonight's the night for Iggy to get going again!

I don't know where Chicago played last but I wonder if Niemenen could play tonight.

And today's paper said that Yelle will be in tonight, which is a great things against Colorado

This should be a good game. The Flames work harder than most teams in the league. Colorado won't be taking them lightly.

Avs dont stand a chance! They wish they could have the talent the Flames have, the only way they can beat us is through hard work....

Could one of you knowledgeable fans tell me if Derek Morris was ever Captain of your team? I thought I remember him wearing the C at one point.

Gauthier got injured. A shot in the ankle I believe. Hopefully he's alright;he's a good player.

The answer is no. Steve Smith and then Dave Lowry.

Hard work pays off for the Flames. Kind of a lucky bounce, but they deserved it.

Nice game!! 2-Zip Flames over Avs. Chris Clark scored into the empty net with 30 seconds remaining.

Huge win in terms of the playoff picture, and even bigger in terms of team confidence. Great to see Kipper standing on his head again... is he ever quick between the pipes!

Hopefully we can continue this winning theme into the upcoming two-game homestand, which starts Thursday versus the Detroit Red Wings.

GO FLAMES GO!

Huge win.

Much better game tonight.

Any doubt that I had about Kiprusoff is now gone. This guy is for real.

Hopefully they can build on this.

Big win

Nice to see them take out Colorado (glad Forsberg was still out though) hopefully they can up the confidence and take out Detroit, then beat Phoenix(?) and get those three losses right back.

Huge win the penalty kill was spot on. Kiprusoff has alot to do with that too. Any shutout of Colorado is a great effort.

Definetaly.

BTW Iginla just passed Eric Vail for 12th in all-time Flame assists with 247, haven't had any movement in the lists lately so this is always interesting (I follow the top ranked players in Calgary; top 50 points, top 25 goals/assists/PIM/games played, top 20 goalie wins and top 10 coaches (Sutter is 10th BTW))
