75% of the time the Yotes win big. I'll take it.

I think whatever team gets Jared gets ripped off, otherwise it's pretty even, as they'll all be great players.

Not only do they get Staal, it's only costing them Staal.

I think the Penguins lose out in the end, as they'll get staal.

What do you mean 75%? Eric is a franchise center. Marc is a future top four defenseman, possibly top pairing. Jordan will be a quality two-way center, possibly Selke caliber. Jared, our Staal, sucks by comparaison, and probably won't ever be an impact NHLer.

Carolina is the big loser, no matter what, and Phoenix is the big winner, no matter what. How Pittsburgh and New York do, depends on the first names. Even though neither team can really afford Eric.

Staal is pretty overrated, but Staal is underrated.

Learn to math.

3 out of the 4 Staals would be far better in Phoenix than the Staal they already have.

That's 75% of the Staal sons.

yeah but you should figure out the math first

they're not trading their own staal, back to themselves, they'd be trading him away, so the only staals left are jordan, marc, and eric

There's a chance that Jared can be flipped back to Phoenix in the crazy mechanics of a four way trade.

But, the Yotes still can't lose this trade.

I take it math wasn't your best subject. But I'm also thinking it wasn't english either.

You learn to do math, dummy. The Coyotes win a hundred percent of the time. They can't trade Jared to themselves.

But he can be traded to the Pens who trade him to the Rags who trade him to the Canes who in turn trade him back to the Yotes.

Then it wouldn't be a four-way trade.

It would be if four teams were involved.

It doesn't make a lick of sense but it's theoretically possible.

lets hope teams never ever do this. although it would be amazing to make a few trades, and have all four staals playing together at one point in their careers

No, it wouldn't technically be a four-way trade unless assets changed hands from all four teams. If Phoenix ended up back with Jared Staal, it would be as a result of a seperate trade. Change the names of the players involved, and show me how it could be a four way deal. Let's say instead of the Staals it was Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Whitney, Dan Carcillo, and Joni Pitkanen. If Carcillo ends up back with Phoenix, it's not a four way deal.
