A few proposals that might work

Antropov

for

Dubinsky

Toronto gets a young center that they need, the Rangers get a winger that they desperately need.

Kaberle

for

O'Sullivan

Kaberle gets a fresh start and more than likely becomes captain of a team that is going to be fantastic in a couple years. Leafs get a future top 2 line center and some offensive help.

Kubina

for

Krejci
Stuart

Again the Leafs get a good young center and the Bruins get a great d-man to finish out their top 4.

Don't be too harsh.

Why would the Rangers even think about Antropov for Dubi?

The Rangers "desperately" need a winger? Pretty sure Antro will be top line center in Toronto this year.

Kaberle isn't captain material, so even if LA, for whatever reason, decided to make that trade (they wouldn't), Kaberle wouldn't get the C.

And why would Boston give up two integral pieces of their lineup for an overpaid blueliner they really don't need?

hmmm, lets see, they are a pretty small team up front, and having dubinsky makes drury a 3rd line center for some, which is ********.

Dubinsky is not a small dude and plays a very physical game.

I'd take Kubina in a Bruins uniform but not at the cost of moving Krejci.

Why they might work?

Because it'll speed up the Maple Laff's rebuilding.

Or No deal. I just took that reference that out of my hat. How about the Bruins don't trade Kessel for an overpaid defenseman.

The first trade with the Bruins was HORRENDOUS on so many levels though.

Even if it was all 5 of those prospects Boston would still laugh at you.

I think the Leafs would love to make any of these trades, but I really don't think the Rangers, Kings, or Bruins would make these trades. The Rangers are pretty high on Dubinsky, why would they trade him for an often injured forward who has only had one real good season and even that wasn't that great. Also they don't have the cap space for that. The Kings are in a rebuild/youth movement, why would they trade one of there very good young forwards away for an older (though good) defensemen? Besides LA has on of the best groups of you defensemen/defensive prospects in the league. The Bruins are also very high on Krejic, and he really seemed to turn it on at the end of last season I don't think they're ready to give up on him. I also think they're happy with their defense, and I don't believe they have the cap space to make that work.

Just because something helps the Leaf's rebuilding process, doesn't make it work.

You've got to be drunk if you think you could get Dubinsky for Antropov.
