Powerplay early in the 2nd. Strong play by Koivu to draw it.
Go Habs!

What a bad powerplay! It's going to take a lot more for this unit to score on pp.

I have to agree with what Pierre McGuire said. He said that the fans who are gonna boo and carry signs like "Trade Koivu" shouldn't come to the game.

Mmm gotta wonder why Bégin was only used 3 minutes in the first 23 ...

I can only assume it's because he wants to turn him loose in the third when Juneau is done and the team is tired.

Yeah that's a major pissoff. Thanks Dykhuis, if that loses us the game I'll snap.

that 2nd goal by Ottawa was offside wasn't it?
the Ottawa player was inside the zone and went to go to the bench, he wasn't off the ice when the Ottawa player entered the zone and he never came completely out.

Jacques Martin is out coaching Claude Julien. Martin has the Alfredsson-Bondra line out against Sax's line, causing Sax to focus on defence. Unfortunately, with Perreault on the line (Zednik's defence is at least mediocre), it's hard for that line to defend as a trio. Julien must move either Sundstrom or Ward on to this line for the third.

Yup. Good ol' typical Dykhuis. Panics and turns it over. Maybe he's not ready yet. I say let him "develop" in the AHL for a few more months... Then buy him out.

Would you rather Dackel be there? He is there because he is a top 2 line player, and a spot has finally opened up for him. He is benched because of a lack of available playing time on the bottom 2 lines.

Thats typical Dykhuis, a little pressure and he panics. We need to generate more offense, Perrault isnt helping Koivu and Zed while Dagenais cant follow this pace it is just too fast for him.
