Bubble Players Going to Eurpoe

Curious as to what the consensus is on which "bubble" players will go to Europe. I'm assuming the Rangers are bringing 35 - 40 players in order to fill the roster for the back-to-back games in Bern? With the first cuts coming on Friday, here's who I see shipping off to Switzerland, but mostly likely being sent home before Prague:

Aninisimov
Sjostrom
Fritsche
Korp
Byers
Voros
Parenteu
Nedved
MDZ
Potter
Pock
Wiikiman

Assume last year's roster plus the big names are definite, and add the above. We would have 9 defensemen, 20 forwards, and three goalies? Seems too light to me. Fahey? Denisov? Rissmiller? Moore?

Sounds about right. If MDZ goes it'll show that the Rangers are truly considering keeping him around when the season starts.

I thought Sangs, but maybe his showing wasn't good enough. As for MDZ, a reward for his showing, and getting him good exposure. Puck moving d-men will be a huge asset on the bigger ice sheet in Bern.

Doesn't mean jack **** right here. Anyone with two eyes saw Sanguinetti falter and MDZ dominate in their games. MDZ passes brilliantly and played GOOD DEFENSE - something he was said to be his ONLY FLAW. Has a great physical game for a smaller guy too. Sangs can't hit, can't keep his balance, doesn't shoot..I don't know whats going on out there.

The roster has to be down to 23 by the first game in Prague. As I noted in the OP, I would think they would want to bring at least 35 players to have enough bodies for the games in Bern,

i was just pointing it out....sangs has been hitting and has been plaing pretty well he just hasnt been as flashy....it looks like he is playing a little reserved to make sure he doesnt make a mistake in the defensive end and allow a goal......im not taking anything away from MDZ, however just because he is going doesnt mean sanguinetti cant go as well......there are two games and both of those players could use all the experice they can get....

If they bring a 4th extra D, I'm sure it'll be Bobby S.

I saw that number (30 players going to Europe) too--pretty sure it was from a Renney interview.

Sam reports that Renney is looking at a 25 or 26 man roster to bring to Europe. So, 15 forwards and 8 d-men, and 2 goalies?

I'd heard 30 players would be going to Europe as well, but thought I heard Maloney say tonight they would be knocking the roster back to 26 before they go to Europe. Given that...

Sjostrom
Fritsche
Korp
Voros
Parenteu
Potter
Pock or Fahey

If they're carrying 25-26 players I'd say the aforementioned are included (bearing drastic improvement or decline in play in the next two games).

Potter
Pock
Nedved
Korpikoski
Sjostrom
Fritsche
Paranteau
