Pre-Season Games 1 & 2: St. Louis at Kings and Coyotes at Kings

Yes, it isn't setup like last season's GDT, but I thought I'd start one so game updates could be delivered to those of us stuck in class and can't listen to the game

How has the D sounded? Thats a mighty young team on the backend for the Kings tonight. Doughty, Teubert, Drewiske, Piskula, Preissing, and Martinez, with Quick in goal? Wow, gotta say I was not expecting that.

They just swapped out Mason for Marek Schwarz. Should bode well for us.

Yeah, the young guys are making plays and breaking up passes and clearing the front of the net. No one taught Blake, Visnovsky, or Modry how to do any of those things...or they forgot last year...I can't tell which one...

because they are trying.......blake and stuart mailed it in and vis was lost for some reason, while modry was our best d-man for most of the time with heart making up for talent...

Well, it is the pre-season...and, as I'm sure you're aware, anything that happens therein should be taken lightly.

However, if this corps does end up outperforming the one from last season, it'll be primarily because of the system change.

Well 5 of the 6 d-men in the lineup tonight are potentially playing to win the last spot on the Kings this year so there's just a little bit of motivation there.

P.S. working tonight so no listening to the game, any chance I could get a post game update on how Piskula, and Drewiske played?

Edit:^ 1-0 Kings was the last update I heard and they arent keeping anything updated on NHL.com either...
