Anyone else wonder why Redden and Girardi are still paired together? They don't play well together at all.

Redden should be with Staal.

Girardi should be with Rozsival.

Why break up Staal and Rosy, they compliment each others games IMO.

So, is there still a chance MDZ winds up in Hartford? Or is he guaranteed to go back to the OHL for another season?

The kid is really skilled. I hate to see him go down that far.

It sounds like Sam is saying "Delgado" instead of Del Zotto because he pronounces it DEL-ZATTO. Although in Italian, it's properly pronounced Del Zoh-toe.

They might, but I wouldn't mind trying some different pairings towards the end of preseason.

Any, good game guys.

I read the same thing.

Some scouts only go by what they hear others say.

I'm assuming the ones who took the time to watch him for extended periods of time were saying that.

Some said he was the best defenseman in the draft. And he is showing it.

Have Bogosian and Doughty looked this good in NHL camp?

MDZ can't play for Hartford for the regular season until 2 more years. I think he can play the end of the season and the playoffs if his OHL team is eliminated from the playoffs. I guess I should hope the Generals go far this season.

Um...

Last i checked the guys i spoke of are all defensemen.

And if you are referring to sides...

Staal - Redden
Rozsival - Girardi

Are the EXACT sides they play on anyway.

DZ is playing so ****ing well. Parenteau too. I wish every kid could make it. Great game tonight. That first goal killed us.

no, Redden is a left defenseman, Rozsival is a right defenseman

you think Staal and Rozsival both currently play on the left side? that would shut down the opposing right winger...

Yeah, it's too bad we can't just get 3 10m forwards and play them each 60 minutes.

Only caught the 3rd period. Man MDZ looked pretty pretty solid on the powerplay. If we were a lower tier team i have no doubt he makes the team as a 3rd pair/ 2nd pp dman.

He has a ton of skill and should be great on the powerplay for us in the future. Hopefully he will dominate the OHL this year and make a serious run at roster spot next season.

Staal,MDZ,Sags,Girardi,Sauer,Potter and two solid vets in Redden and Rosy. Defense is looking very solid for a good while.
