I may not be reading this correctly, but isn't he the shots on goal leader?

Aleksey Morozov is the goal scoring leader according to this. Glad to see these guys find a league in which they can excel.

If you scroll all the way down on the original link, it says he has 8 goals, and I'm pretty sure that's more than everyone else.

2 Torpedo, Nizhny Novgorod 3 5,500 5,500 100
3 Lada, Togliatti 4 2,900 2,900 100
4 Lokomotiv, Yaroslavl 3 9,091 9,046 99.5

16 Metallurg, Novokuznetsk 5 7,400 5,120 69.2
17 Atlant Mytischy 2 7,500 4,900 65.3
18 Spartak, Moscow 3 5,500 3,166 57.6

The KHL's revenue isn't reliant on attendance. Its based on advertising and really, really rich men with money to burn.

Interesting to see Jan Marek, one time Rangers property who never came across, at the #2 spot.

It's more about advertising than it is ticket prices, even in the US. Except of course for teams like NYR who charge exorbinant amounts for their tickets and price the real fans out of the bottom of the arena. It's all corporate yuppies impressing their friends with good seats down there, they probably don't even care about the game, but this is another thread.

You know the KHL is not of concern when he is leading the league in scoring...

The talent was always there for Marcel. Players like him are just so frustrating when you see them score at every level but the NHL and you know they are capable of it.

Do you have any idea of the amount of money that is poured into the KHL? Russia is one of the richest countries, if not the richest on Earth. Not to mention, the reason attendance is so low is that the capacity of these buildings dont hold that many people. As you can see the leader only has 7,000 seats compared to 17-18000 for the Caps. For their standards, they are doing fantastic.

Marcel has talent and when the competition level drops, his talent can shine every night. Instead of 1 out of 7 nights.

1 out of 7 nights is generous, maybe 1 out of 14
