Parker, Tucker, Laperriere, McLeod, Ledin, Salei...Colorado competes for that distinction.

Most players on the Calgary roster classify as tough. As well as key parts such as Iginla and Phaneuf.

Iggy, Dion, Regehr, Kipper

When your top 4 players are willing to drop the gloves, I'd say your the toughest. Can't say that about any other team in the NW.

Calgary

Iginla, Phaneuf, Regehr, Sarich, Prust, Roy, Nystrom, Vandermeer, and Warrener. Also one of either Adam Pardy or Matt Pelech are poised to make the blueline as well.

Quite easily the Flames. They will likely lead the league in fighting majors again this season. Their coach is also pretty tough.

Colorado is second.

By "tied" you mean Calgary was 1st right?

Calgary. They had Phaneuf, Iginla, Regehr, but Bertuzzi just put them ahead by a landslide.

Calgary had 70. Vancouver 68. Basically a tie.

The Flames will be the toughest team in the NW. The toughness of their star players is what separates them from a team like Vancouver. Calgary has 20-30 minute a night guy's that play tough and are willing to back it up. The Canucks have some tough role players but their stars aren't known for their pugilistic ways.

The Oilers will be the weak Canadian sister of the conference.

Calgary and Vancouver are the stand-outs. They were also #1 and #3 respectively in fighting majors last season.

That's pretty much the way I see it. Both teams have depth forwards and defensemen that play tough, it's the fact that Phaneuf, Regehr, Iginla, and Langkow are far tougher than any of the Canucks top-6 forwards/top-4 defensemen (except Bieksa) that gives them the edge.
