woah, there. You can't improve speed? This is ridiculous. I know a lot about the subject and this is absolutely false.

Kovalev and especially Komisarek will be interesting.

Plekanec is an RFA, as are Higgins and Latendresse. Signing Plekanec long term would be a good thing.

More like 3-5 UFA and 3 RFA that are priorities.

Carbonneau made the point this week that the next wave of prospects (Maxwell, Subban, Weber, Pacioretty, D'agostini, Stewart) are ready to fill the spots of the non-priorities, and, possibly, to replace some of the main guys.

The first four in your list for sure..... should be an interesting time next off season

It's hardly a typical 3rd line when the likes of Latendresse, Higgins or Sergei are flanking you.

So which spot is still unsure? I remember this morning Carbo said that all those players know they have 99.9% of not making a spot.. which means Lapy is sealed..

I'd rather have Dangos and Chips instead of Lapy and Lats..

my initial impression of TSN2 so far is that it's disgusting. seems to me the true goal of this channel was not more content, as one would expect, but more ad revenue.
also, whoever implemented the idea to stop sporting events to collect ad money should be shot. if it were up to them the players would be walking billboards like in europe. no matter what you do, you can't get away from it since the boards are plastered with it as well.
just had to get that off my chest.

this chat on justin tv is of no use to me either, it just takes up memory and bandwith, i'd rather just watch the player.

other than all that, the games been ok. hopefully denis regains his form here.

Yes you can improve speed when you've been skating for 2-3 years, but when you've been playing hockey your whole life you're not going to go from snail to cheetah.

Thats like saying anyone could go to a running school and could become an olympic runner, it doesn't work that way. Like I said, you could learn proper technique that could make you faster in relation to how slow you were, but you cannot go from one of the slowest players in the league to becoming a top five speedster on a fast habs team.

Speed is inborn, you don't learn it or else anyone in this league could learn how to skate fast!

Well as a defensive specialist, Komo isnt in a position to command premium dollars.

I think for Kovalev, it comes down to what he produces this season. I mean, if he scores another 35, we really have no choice but to sign him again.

Tanguay we agree upon.

Asfor Koivu, I dont want to go into a big debate about him (and seriously, I dont...this is not the time or place), but I think company loyalty comes into play here. I just dont see us letting him walk.

Koivu will sign under 4 million, he's our captain, he's our warrior but if we wanna remain competitive, he's the only one I see taking a home town discount.

Well considering that Fedorov re-signed with the Caps for 4mil. I would say yes.
