Hell No!! I don't want Perreault on the first line for a month!!!

HELL NO!!!!! Either you give a chance to Ward or you go rent a player.

Of course, BG can do the big deal and get an O'Neill or a Smyth... But I doubt.

Best solution ?

Bring Ryder back with Koivu and Zednik;
Play Bégin on LW with Ribs and Dags;
Keep The Juneau-Sundstrom-Dackell line;
Play any combination of Langdon, Perreault,Kilger and Ward on the fourth.

Ideally, trade Perreault and get a vet like Eastwood to center the fourth line.

Interesting idea to try Begin on left wing on Ribiero's line...add a huge kick in th e ass to two players who occasionally can use one..

How about this?

Kilger - Koivu - Zednik

It's worked before.

Only problem is, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the Coach to reward an underachieving player in such a way. Julien did, however, give Perreault a shot on the top line.

In Kilger, we get speed, a decent shot, and a big body. While the size means nothing if he doesn't use it, perhaps he would be inspired to play with two very good players. Ward, I don't think, has the speed or the hands to play with Koivu, perhaps he would be a good fit with Ribeiro.

Kilger - Koivu - Zednik
Ward - Ribeiro - Ryder
Dackell - Begin - Sundstrom
Dagenais - Juneau - Langdon

Kilger had his chance.
He's good one game when he's not playing 3 games in a row.

Begin on one of the 2 first lines could work. I like the idea of Begin, Ribeiro and Dagenais...

Begin can create a lot of chances by playing big in the corners... or he could stand in front of the nets and get the garbage goals...well...the goal Dagenais usually scores... (?d'oh)

Good grief, Ward may not have the best hands, but I hope you don't mean that Kilger is any better. Ward, I believe, can annoy the goalie and score the kind of garbage goals that could really augment Koivu and Zednik's production. Kilger has never been able to do this with any kind of consistency. But, we'll see.

I wanna see Pleks or Balej up. I think YP and Kilger both got plenty of chances.

How about

I was thinking about a deal centering around Hainsey and Kilger for Morozov and Eastwood. I think Morozov could put up a point a game if moved to another team.
Trade Perreault for a pick.

Zednik Koivu Morozov
Ryder Ribeiro Dagenais
Bulis Juneau Sundstrom
Begin Eastwood Ward
Langdon

Not sure if I would make the deal though

The two options I like the best :
1) play Begin with Saks and Zed
2) trade for Morozov and put him on a line with Saku.

Whit our top defencemen and a 1st liner out for the whole month of March the Habs may have some difficult times ahead . With a large part of the games against .500 or + teams the Habs will need a litlle extra from everybody . First off Markov has to come back ASAP and we have to find someone to play on the top line in this crucial part of the season . Ward , Begin , Kilger are all 3/4th liners they can't play 15+ mins a game on our op line . I'd like to see the team go after a guy who's gonna be UFA by season end . A guy like Nedved , Sanderson or a younger option like Morosov or Isbister .

For a short term solution, I don't mind that one.
