Micheletti or Maloney

how much longer do we have to listen to this Islander's reject. Maloney has so much more insight into what is going on. Joe has finally figured out maybe that he works for the Rangers but he doesn't even know our roster or anything about hockey

i'd take Dave over Joe any day. remember, we were spoiled by JD who was a great color guy. Could be worse - hear Chico last night?

I know it kills me that we have to listen to Joe when he is supposed to be an analyst but he is the new clueless Joe

I pick neither. Let Sam do the telecast by himself

I originally wanted Maloney, because of his position as an ex-Ranger and his knowledge of the Rangers. Joe has really grown on me, though, I think his ability to explain a play on the ice and what a player is thinking is as good as any broadcaster I've heard. Not that Dave Maloney is bad at that, but Joe is very good at seeing the play.

To me, that's more important than good stories about the Rangers players.

You know, I have to say I kinda like Joe. I love the fact that the guy may be one more weak call away from an on the air, meltdown. hahaha

I don't mind Joe. He's a pretty good commentator. I like Maloney also.

Joe is strictly a commentator. He is supposed to be the analyst Sam seems to try and fill the role of JD. BRING IN DAVE - dump this clown

Guys, there is no question that Joe is the better commentator.

Maloney is constantly stumbling over his words, his diction and grammar are poor, he gets lost in sentences, and his timing is very poor.

Joe is far more articulate and concise and polished. And he complements Sam very well.

I don't think anyone can make the argument that Joe doesn't know the game, so these are the considerations that have to be made.

Nobody's ever going to be JD, but Joe is doing a very good job.

alright! Joe has no insight on the game or this team. Dave can break down the plays as a former player he understands the how's and why it happened We need a better analyst to work the booth

Joe

I think Joe is ok, clearly develpoing. There are good points about his diction and command of the language. I do believe he is a former player too.
Don is Don, he has hockey know how and is a Ranger soooo.....
Didn't Zherdev's goal yesterday look like Alexei Kovalev??

you hit the nail on the head if Zherdev turns out to be another Kovalev could be big trouble that is his reputation needs to be a more North South not East West

I like Joe, he's a good guy, says some goofy things sometimes, but he's a fun guy to listen to during the games. He can't replace JD, though. No one can replace JD, I think some people might not like Joe 'cause they expected him to replace JD, no one can do that.

Joe has grown on me to be honest, guy does get into the game when he calls it. He and Sam are getting better togeather also, give it more time. But if JD ever leaves STL See ya Joe!

Like Dave too but I see him as a replacement for Al who seems to be getting very popular lately. Actually Al was hardly around last season so...........

i MUCH prefer micheletti to maloney. maloney is incoherent at times, his sentences start off one way and finish in a ridiculously different direction..

"well yeah sam the goaltending is key to this club, and i uhh, well what we have to see is how the lighting in the stadium effects henrik, i uhh, think that jurassic park was a great movie, and uhh, i guess we'll see"

the guy is absolutely worthless in his insight, and absolutely terrible to try to follow on broadcasts. its like listening to sarah palin talk. youre like...wait...what the hell did he just say? they were talking about goaltending, where does jurassic park fit into that?

michelletti tows the line a bit too much for my liking, but at least he is coherent and brings up things that you may not notice in an easy to understand manner. Maloney may be a great guy or whatever, but speaking clearly and making sense is the most important part of his job, and it is without a doubt his biggest flaw.

Joe himself is a former player and coach. Joe does a good job. He does sometimes go a little to far with the Drury praise, but i think he just wants to show the fans the little things that helps win games. Just my .02
