Yeah man, I tend to get negative when my team can't score more than 2 goals in a game through what now? 7th game? This isn't even an NHL team, it's not even full of NHL rejects, just a few of them.

I feel the blind optimism here is astounding.

I'd disagree. I'd say that we are playing well but just are wasting scoring chances and not showing a killer instinct. Which is understandable considering that it is a tune up game.

I know, all throughout the preseason, just pessimism. The point of the preseason is to get a look at developing prospects, and try out new lines, not to win every game. I like what the Ranger's have been doing this preseason. We've seen a lot of kids, and a lot of different line combinations. The Rangers aren't an inept team who needs to ice their A+ during the preseason to makes themselves feel better about winning a couple meaningless games.

And this game has been good so far, I like the big ice, and it's fun to see how SC Bern works, they've been impressive so far, been playing a good game. I always like watching international teams, and games on big ice, I love the international ice sizes.

And wow, talk about a shooting gallery, man. Where was the Ranger's D?

It is not an inferior soft euroepan team ... they just beat champions of slovakia and of austria. European standard they are of good level. matching swedes or russians ....

today isn't their best game ... hopefully the 3rd will be better.

Let's be honest. The defense hasn't been great. This game COULD be 2-2. For the most part, we take shots on poor scoring chances, and pass on great ones.

I'm not trying to insult FC Bern. But compared to most NHL teams, they are inferior and soft.

I apologize if I did offend any supporters here though.

I can also only say I'd wish NHL fans could be as loud and singing as their Euro counterparts. You can feel the atmosphere all through the TV. Drums ftw!

3-1! Really cool that they brought over the goal horn and goal song.

I'm only trying to put it in context because I cna't compare how good each team SHOULD be. I don't know what SC Bern is capable of, nor do what know what this Ranger team is capable of.

That was a really pretty play.

It's kind of a shame that this game is getting one-sided due to all the penalties, but that was still some good stuff by Dubi.

Yeah because god forbid a bunch of prospects and jumbled lines can't generate any chemistry in 60 minutes of hockey.

Do you watch Swiss league hockey a lot? You seem to have a lot of negative things to say about the Bern team, yet I doubt you have ever seen this game skate before.

Hmm, a team in mid-season form, playing at home against a team playing in another country, on bigger ice with new line combinations. You're right, we should be destroying this beer-league team!

I might be nearing the point of blind-optimism, but you're way past the point of unjustified negativity.

4 goals enough for you?
