I wrote down Bourque. Yay me.

Oh, and seventies, now we know you're going to have your top-6 on D picked by round 14.

The three D-Mens and Hull were faster than Lemieux (or must be considered such), but that's it.
Maybe I'm too influenced by what I saw later on in his career. I always saw Lemieux as a guy who would slow the game down intentionally, and rarely did I see him blow past defenders.

I think you could have gotten more for a top 10 pick.
I'll be fine making my first pick at 50 and then another one shortly after. Looking at who was available last time, I'll be fine. I'd have fared better if I hadn't blown my 2nd pick last draft, looking back at who was available, that has to be considered a brutal pick.

This time around I will have 6 defensemen most likely by the end of round 12. I gave VI a 40 pick jump in exchange for four jumps of approximately 280 picks. That's plenty.

Sooner!

edit: are you saying I have a reputation for picking a lot of defensemen early on? If so, thanks for noticing!

Haha, no it was just a joke that you were giving away your strategy. You're in my division, so already know that if I run into you, I'm going to be in for a tough defensive team.

Right you are. My teams are always strong defensively and in net. (defensively from the defensemen, that is. I haven't been great with defensive forwards. I always want an elite shutdown guy, but those that take them are the ones overpaying for them, which I refuse to do)

Just the one. But still....waiting a whole day...like...I dont know..just seems dumb to me. But we had more votes for this one then the others so what can we do I guess.

11th is one of the hardest picks to make. There is no clear cut BPA. So it all comes down to style.

Pappy doesn't get Hull for the second year in a row!
I think that the next player picked will be either the clear next best forward, or one of 3 goalies.

I've got Mullin, but no matter how many times I smack him, he won't give me his pick...

I predicted Mikita even though he was around 20 in the last draft. I just had a hunch thats who was gonna go. Its probably early for him but then again...Mikita is no slouch and I think alot of players could really go at this spot. And obviously the defending champ knows what hes doing.

I think Mikita gets underrated. IMO, there's no way he should last until 20.
