Which antivirus is best?

I know that antiviruses are pretty essential for PC users (I have experience in the Mac field as well, though), and there may be a constant debate over which does the best job. Which one do you think it is?

I think if you have xfinity you can't go wrong with Constant Guard/Norton. Had it since they came out as a package and my XP runs great.

Your brain. I've never used an antivirus and my PC is always in top shape. You just have to know not to download anything shady.

I just moved (back) to Firefox from Chrome. When I had Chrome, Spybot would catch tracking cookies. But now with Firefox, Spybot finds nothing. What gives?
