Question on Belle

Unfortunately i havnt been able to catch any games on TV lately. Has Belle played in any? If so how has he looked? Any glimses of greatness? If not was he at camp? Anyone attend camp can give an update on him. The only reason I ask is i remeber him being really steady at the world juniors and thinkg he could develope into a good shut down guy. Just looking for an update

I keep hoping for the best...but got dissappointed.
I really liked him wt the WJC's, time to move on and face the reality of the player he is today.

Can somebody remind me how we got him? I know it was in a trade with someone. Toronto?

We just got him.... Lets see if our coaches in Hamilton can do anything with him.

Hes got the tools..... Lets see if we can find him a toolbox.

Its not likely... but there is no harm in trying. Give him a year, if there is no improvement cut your losses then. If it works out it has the potential to be very good. Its a high risk/high reward proposition.

I have faith in our system like I said when we first got him in the acquisition thread. But I've been waiting too long, since he first got drafted.
I still hope he does well, but my expectations are going to be lowered from here on in.

yea i was really excited when we got him, especially since even though locke is a good player he would of never broke our lineup

to say the least i was dissapointed , he was like a one man penalty machine, he was right in the middle when carle got hit, however his d was suspect

however we have a really good system in hamilton and hopefully they can fine tune him up, maybe get joel bouchard working again

i really wish theyd work towards getting desjardins working in our organization somehow

but yea belle had a dissapointing preseason in my eyes, i had him right up there with valentenko, carle, weber, and i thought hed be battling with them, but suban honestly had a way better camp then him

Depends on how you look at it..... it could be low risk cause we don't lose anything. But I'd look at sending a guy like Chipchura to Hamilton to try and make him more offensive to be low risk, ie if it doesn't work hes still gonna be a third line centre one day. If this doesnt work, you have nothing.

In other words... for Belle this is a big risk; cause its his last chance to make the NHL. If we cut him, i doubt a fifth team will take a shot with him.
