About a week and change ago, Holmgren was quoted in one of the papers saying that a young defenseman has really caught everyone's eyes and is making things difficult in terms of what to do with the blue line. While the assumption made was that Sbisa was the one who Homer was talking about (no names of said young defenseman was mentioned), I'm begging to wonder if the young defender Holmgren was referring to was actually Danny Syvret. I saw that he played over 20 minutes tonight and that only Kimmo Timonen played more minutes. As well, I figured Syvret would have been demoted back to the AHL squad by now, but yet he's still with the NHL club. And, with the release of Bryan Berard, there's seems to be a roster space that's been opened for someone. What do you think, is it Syvret who gets a roster spot or is it Sbisa?
We all know that kukks is definatly not a stevens favourite, maybe syvret has really caught his eye for the 7th defenseman. Apparently he was on the verge of cracking the edmonton team last year. He can move the puck very well too.
