At least we know the kids shot is on the net, he should get alot of assists if Boyle stays true to form on the p.p.

Ah, Boyle. King of the tip in. Not that I'm complaining. A goal is a goal.

Was at the game, and believe me the goalie decision is a no-brainer. Quick was just flat lousy. Of course, then Tellqvist comes in in the 3rd and lets in two softies... but I digress.

I was excited to see Wayne Simmonds start the game but he really got his bell rung badly and didn't come back... is he penciled in for the starting roster or is he Manchester-bound?

Yea I know what you mean I was a ranger fan when esposito would kill us with his "GARBAGE" goals. Lets hope Boyle is in that mode, I think in the year espo scored 77 , 70 of them were within 10 feet the S.O.B. lol

Despite being one of the most effective guys when he plants himself in front of the goal I've seen come up in Manch, he's actually got some serious skill, too. I mean, if it weren't for his tendency to loaf (which he seems to have eliminated over the course of last season), he'd be recognized as a sniper. Or as a talker. Because he never shuts his mouth. And not in a chirpy sense, he just likes to talk. His mouth used to go a mile a minute on the bench. Eventually, everyone but Tukonen learned to tune him out.

I think it's more the one of a gazillion children in him. I know plenty of Irish I can shut up. Even when no one was listening, he'd be talking.

And it was fun, thanks. We had a two month sit down in Atlantic City, which was awesome. Now, I've got two more weeks of rehearsals for a different show before I hit the road again.

So are you saying everyone wants to be Irish so they don't have to shut up or so they can have a name that starts with Mc?

Does that make Ronald McDonald Irish?

Recap for Kings fans from PHX

Doughty is impressive. IMO - better than Jack Johnson...Maybe its just his style of play but he looked better.. Always looks good rushing the puck. Can't believe how patient he is with it. Always make a good play with it. Looks like a more like a Vet than a rookie.

Simmonds - Looked good at the Prospects game here. Not so good tonight. He looks way below average compared to the NHL Caliber players. Was crushed with a hit and wobbled to the bench.

On another team - Dustin Brown would be talked about as an elite player....I don't think he gets enough recognition for how good he is...

Quick was not very good. He let in two soft goals. One on Porters slap shot and on Tikhinov's goal.

The Kings were kind flat all night...

Simmonds got a taste of what kind of treatment he'd get in the NHL tonight. I love the kid, and he's got spirit, but he needs to add some serious weight and pick his fights better if he hopes to ever last a full season in the big leagues.

Quick dropped the ball tonight.

Doughty is already better than JJ.

Gonna' be a long season.

I'm assuming Quick and Simmonds will be two easy cuts to make tomorrow.
