Switch Shaefer and Axelsson Ward and Hnidy and that looks like a good opening night line up. Hopefully the top 3 lines all produce and look good making it hard for the coaching staff to make any changes.

if all schafer can be used for is 4th line duty (which may or may not be true at this point, nobody knows) then they might as well throw sobotka in there.

Where's Alberts? Fluto doesn't mention that he's staying home but he's also not listed in his 'probable' lineup either.

Oversight or maybe something is in the works?

Originally when he posted the list of players staying back he had Hunwick in there.. but then obviously listed Hunwick as a guy who should be in the lineup, so I'm guessing he meant to say Alberts was staying home not Hunwick and hasn't figured it out yet.

So Wheeler has been playing the left side? I thought he was strictly a RW'r?

Hes been going back and forth.. showing his versatility.. played left wing last game, I believe... or might've been the Montreal game. The fact that hes capable of playing both sides, and playing well on both sides, it makes it that much harder to send him down.

Chia has to move 3 forwards (Reich, Schaefer, and ???) to make room for him though... unless he sends SOB to Providence which would be ********. SOB deserves a spot on this club. Just like everyone says it would be criminal to not have Wheeler on this team considering the camp hes had, the same can be said for Sobotka.

Tough decisions ahead to be sure.

Where Ryder,Alberts and who ever they select with the 2nd will never amount to anything for the rest of their career in the NHL while the 6th is a mold of Ovechkin, Datsyuk, Lidstrom.

I really hope it works today...

With only the 4th line in question, this lineup would make me smile. I really hope the top line can produce with both Ryder and Wheeler popping at least one in each. The other 2 lines could contribute a goal each while the 4th line... just don't blow it.

Does Sobodka have to clear waivers? Noke? I don't know. I sense that Mr Shaefer better have a strong game or he is going on the waiver wire tomorrow. A trade would be preferrable but waivers is fine. Reich may find the same fate.

Bish actually has Alberts in and Hunwick out. So Fluto originally had it right then second guessed himself, or something.

Someone on a diffefrent thread said Noke doesn't have to clear waivers...Don't remember about SOB, though. That's the reason I think Noke gets sent down...

I've re-opened our gametime chat room for anyone interested. We're over on Quakenet.

So please join us at the same web page:

http://homepage.mac.com/chrisgorski/chat/

or at irc.quakenet.org in the #bruinsgametime room, if you're using a standalone IRC program.

Thanks!

P.S. Please note I changed the name of the room.

I don't like that Nokie and SOB aren't in the lineup... but it is what it is.
Nokie has groin thing.

http://www.hockeyjournal.com/Article.php?ArtID=414633

Jeremy Reich, another player fighting for a spot was a healthy scratch, while Ference (healthy), Petteri Nokelainen (groin), Mark Stuart (charley horse) and David Krejci (hip) were also scratched.

I think Nokie could be sent down without waivers BUT he would get his full NHL salary playing for Providence. I could be wrong but I think that is the case.

Fluto stated today, "Bubble players who must clear waivers include Peter Schaefer, Jeremy Reich, Nate Thompson, and Petteri Nokelainen."

The game will be streamed on wbz1030.com and on the AOL Radio application. In AOL Radio, go to CBS radio and scroll down until you see WBZ AM 1030 and double click on that.
