Hello folks. I'm visiting Ottawa this weekend to see them play my team, the Sabres. The Sabres are playing the night before against Calgary, and I wanted to catch the game on tv. Is there a bar in Ottawa where I would be able to catch the game? Thanks!
Don Cherry's at Rideau and King Edward might have it. They have a zillion TVs and would probably switch on over if you asked them to. It's also really close to the Bostonian.
Wife and I are considering buying a house outside of the city in Russell, Embrun, or Limoges. Anybody know anything about these areas, or whether we're nuts for taking on this kind of a commute? Terrible idea? Good Idea?

Thanks guys for any help you can offer.
Hi,
I've been living in Embrun since I was born (now 21). Really nice bilingual town with lots of activities going on in the community.
The commute is not bad at all. I've been commuting to Ottawa U for the last 3 years and usually takes me 40 minutes or less to get to University which is pretty good (when there is no traffic, it takes about 25 minutes). But it depends on where you work.
Hey guys, I'm coming to Ottawa for a couple days this week and was looking for great bars with local beers, reasonably priced good eats, and the best place for poutine.

Any suggestions?
Great bars (none are cheap):
Pub Italia
Patty Bolands
Brasseurs du Temps (Hull)
Mill Street Pub
The Lieutenant's Pump (not a gay bar, despite the name)
The Manx
Barefax
Heart & Crown in the Market (I don't like it, but most people do)
