Dion Phaneuf's boyfriend picked the Flyers to be better than the Habs...

One of his first reasons was that their PP was too good

McGuire basically hyped up and pimped every team in the East aside from NYI, ATL and TOR on the team 990 at 5:30. Like 11 or 12 teams can do well...

''oh the rangers are gonna be strong''

''The Panthers will shock everyone because DeBoer is an unreal coach. 10-20 points improvement with him as coach''

''Buffalo's a huge darkhorse''

''The Canadiens are very good''

''I dig Philly''

''I really like the Devils''

''Ottawa is a very underatted team that will surprise''

''Boston will be much better''

''Pittsburgh is regretting the Hossa deal, but they'll still make the playoffs.''

,etc...

He's been saying that he thinks Montreal's a top team for weeks.

Why are people so negative about McGuire?

I hope Ferraro is on the TSN preview show in an hour's time.

McGuire gives very good analysis usually and knows how to break down a play with the best of them. However he does tend to flip flop on stuff and can give some pretty whack opinions on things that don't really make a whole lotta sense.

Ferraro with an 'i' in the end instead of the o' is Ferrari. So he's cool in my books.

He should be... looks like they had their panel set up in the studio with Duthie, Torts, Ferraro, McGuire, and Bobby Mac... left to right.

I am not being negative about McGuire at all, but I just find it funny how he basically thinks 11 or 12 teams in the east are gonna be good, if not very good...it's not gonna happen.

I also don't get this Philly love...their big hole (2nd pairing D, they need two of 'em) is still there.

You're right. He's a lot like Gretzky like that where he exagerates with his adjectives.

I think they are expecting Parent to a be big part of the defense next year.

lmao

Mckenzie said the Habs will be a big time team for many years to come.

Mcguire said the Habs are so deep it is scary.

Tortotella spoke VERY well about Carbo and the coaching staff and said he has blind trust in Bob Gainey.

I don't think it could have gone any better, lol.

He's out 3-4 months with a torn labrum...

and that was 4-5 minutes of pure audio pleasure listening to TSN preview us.

I don't think I've ever seen a Habs team preview that was so... Optimistic.

It's really a new feeling for me.

Guess they're going to a 6 second delay now?

Yikes, didn't take long, Torts.
