Zherdev Appreciation Thread

On NHL Live, Dubinsky was on and said that Zherdev has been connecting very well with everyone and Him and Z hang out all the time. A little different than what "experts" say about Zherdev. It seems, he has a great willingness to connect with his teammates in New York. I dont know if this is thread worthy or not, if not Mods can delete.

Gotta love Dubinsky. He is like a sponge. He absorbs everything from everyone. I love how he is starting to hang out with Zherdev. I mean, who wouldn't be pissed living in Columbus, Ohio in the suburbs? I mean, can you imagine the fun the team has together at night? Party all night.

He said that him and Z go to places together, and barely anyone knows who they are. He said they went to the Jets-Pats game. and a couple Yankee games.

awesome. Im really liking the attitude that Zherdev has brought with him to NY. And I have little doubt that CBJ fans were right about his work ethic in columbus, I just think Z doesnt want to screw it up this time around and wants things to be different this time around. The change of scenery is doing a lot more for him than i expected. I was afraid that rep he had of being quiet and reserved wouldnt go well in nyc but he seems to be adjusting pretty well. And Dubinsky hanging out with Z just shows how much more leadership this team has than Columbus.

Heres to Zherdev getting his first regular season goal on friday!

I know

It looked obvious that Gomez was going to play with Zherdev. I signed for HF in July. How long do I have to wait to change my username?

Good job, now let's see Renney change the lines in two games and put Gomez and Zherdev together.

Anyway, though it's been two games, things seem encouraging. I'd just like to see if he can really start to get going with Dubinsky.

I'd cry if he does. Partly because of my username, and mostly because Z has found a friend in Dubi.

I had a slice of pizza with Zherdev once about a block from my house. He's a pretty easy going guy off the ice and very personable.

That's awesome. My dad's friend has beers with Nick Fotiu, because Nick Fotiu thinks he looks like a younger version of him.

what the hell are you talking about? almost everyone that has played/still plays for the blue jackets thinks the city is a great place to live.

Not the same as NYC. Believe me. I've been to Columbus and other "cities" and they should not be considered "cities" when compared to New York. New York is THE CITY. AKA There is actually stuff to do.

nice to hear that dubi is getting along with zherdev...hopefully they can find a connection on the ice and become a nice 1-2 punch on the same line for along time to come but i think it has a lot to do with the type of locker room renney has this season....players are very personable and professional and all work hard....in order to keep up with their high work-ethic the younger players have to learn quickly and work hard.....this is the reason why i was, and am okay with the drury, gomez and redden signings....

Hopefully Dubinsky and Zherdev can bond a bit, making Nikolai all the more comfortable in NY.

Which might then make it easier to re-sign him. Making a player comfortable just brings so many benefits, which is why a change of scenery to NY can either be a good thing or bad.
