The misery of the summer is over! I'm actually happy that the game is late - will have time to get back from work, get beer and celebrate the beginning of the new season.

Here's to a great exciting new season!

Wonder if Thornton and Tucker have a go at it tonight? Anyone know who tonight's announcers will be? I'm secretly hoping for Brick..

And yup Maine, chocolate makes for some good company, in moderation of course!

FYI, the game WILL be in HD on Ch. 848 for Boston area Comcast subscribers.

I think earlier in the week the guide had indicated that there would be golf instead, but the listings have been updated.

MODERATION! Never when your talking chocolate and the season opener.

See ya tonight, Im off to work .....I may have to start NOT feeling well around 2 so I can come home and take a nap! And now Waltah has made me hungry so I may have to take s trip to the grocery store as well. Time for Gorskic's chili dogs too.

Seeing as I don't get to see the Bruins on tv much here in northern VA, I would love to to be able to watch the game. However, today is my anniversary so I won't be able to catch any of the game. My wife and I have pther plans for tonight.

So go Bruins and kick some AV butt.

It is EXACTLY like Christmas morning for me here!!! 1 am right now and over 20+ of us Canadians are meeting up at 9:30 am to watch the double-header live then go play some ball hockey, then the beach for a surf / korean volleball!

Live hockey in Australia + wearing my bruins jersey in 27 degree weather = the passion all true Bruins fans have!

GOOOO BRUINS GO!

And now I can't wait to update my pic with a picture of both of them in BRUINS Jerseys doing the SAME THING!!!!

Got my new Bruins Shirt on at work and my fleece (very relaxed company I work for) and I'm going to have a Bobby Orr at lunch at the Fours.

Ready to go.

Ahhh, opening night!

To paraphrase that great hockey fan, William Shakespeare:

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of Bruins;
For he to-day that sheds his black-n-gold blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in New England tonight-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon this Opening Night.

Henry V | Act 4, Scene 3

It's so refreshing being able to come here and interact with people who truly love the game--I mean this sincerely. Thanks to everyone on here and here's to a great Bruins season.

woohoo, so the game WILL be on HD for comcast people in the New England area (NH for me)?

I checked the channel listing last night and it said PGA Golf...

Any confirmation on this?
