Who Do You Want The Leafs To Win The Cup For?

Obviously all of us want the Leafs to win the cup for personal reasons, but I was wondering if any of you have anyone else you'd die for them to win for.

One person in particular for me is my grandfather. He's been a Leafs fan since the 30's, and I don't think he's missed a game on TV in the last 20 years. I've never met another Leafs fan who has more knowledge of the team than him, and more than anything, I'd like for him to see us win a cup.

Any of you have someone similar?

Pretty much all of us who have stayed the course since 67 are deserving.
Not sure who else that includes, Ulf, ND, Rec and i think Crump's another old fart(apologies if your not).

Little Timmy in the hospital. I promised him I'd get the Leafs to win 2 Cups for him if he got better...

No one personal, just been a fan for over 25 years and haven't seen a cup under my watch. Leafs fans have been through far too much over the years to not be rewarded with a cup.

My parents, I suppose. Especially my dad. He's been a leafs fan for his whole life, and was even coached in his youth by a few Leaf greats. He's not an uber-fan though. A step above your "average leaf fan" but not hardcore by any stretch.

I guess my main non-selfish reason for wanting them to win is that there are more Leaf fans than any other team, so it'd make more people happier than any other team winning could.

I'd just like them to win so no hardcore fan can say they never saw a cup win in their lifetime. It's guaranteed to have happened with the Cubs in terms of a World Series championship. I don't want to be them in 60 years.

Red Sox fans were like that before '04 and White Sox before '05.. it just happens alot in baseball. I don't think anyone will go 100 years in the NHL. Chicago fans were glad to have the Bulls.. White Sox went 88 years without winning, Cubs is 100 and still going and the Blackhawks have been 47 years.. wow.

As for the topic, no one in particular. My granddad is a hardcore Leafs fan so maybe him because he had to sit through all of the 41 years. I think I've waited awhile..

It's not "who" as much as "why"

Rewind about 15 years to 1994 on a June night in NYC and one of the greatest moments in sports you'll ever see....then try to imagine that atmosphere in the biggest city in this country, in a city that bleeds blue and white....we deserve that moment.

Ditto. I guess I can't really have an answer to this question, but if I had to say somebody I'd say myself. I just want to see them win it.

OMG, absolutely...and I'd be there 100%!! That city wouldn't sleep for the summer...one massive party!!

As for someone I'd love to see win it...it would have to be my Uncle Terry and his buddy Brad Horn...those 2 guys are the most hardcore Leafs fans I've ever met...my Uncle especially...he's definitely the reason I'm a fan, been watching with him since the beginning of (my) time lol

I am the most hardcore in my family. I would like to win for myself and for all the fans like me. The real hardcore fans that have been following the team their entire Life. no bandwagon fans, I'll shoot them on sight if they celebrate!!

Wait he would probably write up how Toronto sucked and how it was only a fluke that they won.

Mats Sundin. We could invite him to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff in the finals.

if theres one thing i dont regret about being roped into supporting this team before i knew better, its that in leafland theres no such thing as a bandwagon fan, but wwhen we do win the cup i will gladly go bandwagon fanhunting
