For such a "soft" team, the Rangers had 44 hits tonight, much more than any other team in action tonight thus far..

Don't forget though guys... we only won our last 3 because Lundqvist's pads are to big. If not for those big things, we would be crushed game by game.

Just got in from the game, a few thoughts.

1. Lot's of empty seats in the 100's & ice level

2. We played really well, out side of 7 minutes in the 3rd when we were running around we took it to a young re-building Chicago team.

3. Lots of hitting, very chippy game by Chicago, Rangers hit back we did not get pushed around.

4. Love how we move the puck create odd man rushes & go to the net strong.

Wade Redden was a big part of that tonight.

3 points in 3 games. He's tied for second on our team in scoring. and Dubi is first.
I am prepared to eat crow for the season if he continues. I also loved that hit on versteeg(even if it was a penalty, it was a beauty)

Just got back from the game...

... I think we looked a bit slow, which is to expected from the Prauge hangover

.... I liked the puck movement, but we were a bit sloppy in our own zone..D needs to tighten things up in there..hopefully just some nerves

It was great to home

Tomorrow in Philly is gonna be tough...i think we could probably use a day off but the schedule is what it is..lets hope prince vally can get it done!

Korpedo man... not doing good on faceoffs...hasn't done much but hustle so far..

I'm giving the kid time but how much..

No shots in any of the three games yet....

He's going to work himself into the AHL sooner or later.

Just got home, some observations.

The first line had a great first period, however, after the first, they were very sloppy.

Second line was fantastic, I hope Renney doesn't break these guys up. Zherdev is amazing, I'm loving watching him more and more every time he's on the ice. Him and Dubi make an awesome team.

The third line with the exception of Callahan was very dull tonight. Dawes was brutal, I think he was the worst player on the team.

The fourth line did it's job well. Betts was actually flying around, I'm liking the new and improved Orr, and Sjostrom I think just played himself into another game with that great hustle play in the third which he almost scored on.

Defense looked solid for the most part, nothing glaring. Although there were times when Blackhawks players were wide open and either they missed or Henrik came up big. I'm liking Redden a lot right now. Also Paul Mara is the flippin' man.

The King, there's not much to say about him that hasn't been said in the past. He made a lot of big saves, and made sure the Rangers pulled it out.

Sloppy game but I'll definitely take the points. Dubie's line bailed us out from what could have easily been a loss since Chicago was in our zone the entire game. Speaking of which, Dubie is leading the league in points early on, nice to see. The opening ceremonies were great, definitely did not disappoint there. One thing I noted was how much Toews reminded me of someone from our conference with all the whining tonight. I don't know if that got on TV but he had something to say to the ref about everything that happened. If we saw Chicago more I think I would grow to hate him as much as Crosby...

Agreed that Dawes should sit in favor of Fritsche. Even Prucha would be an upgrade cuz at least Prucha tries to hit people. Second line was dominant, first line should be consistent all year, fourth line was the fourth line except Sjostrom who showed something tonight. The third line besides Callahan was a huge disappointment. If we had a capable scorer on the third line we would have won 6-2 tonight. Please trade Rissmiller, Fritsche and anyone else who isn't gonna play so we can call up a 7th D-man.

I get the feeling that young captains tend to do that, and it usually doesn't do them any favors.

They feel the need to work the refs at every stoppage, just because they're now the captain and feel like they have to be "leading" at every opportunity. It probably just turns the refs off to them, however.

He's young and will learn.

People are giving Dawes not enough time. It's been 3 games! He hasn't found chemistry yet. This was his first game with Korpedo and Cally. Give it time. relax.

Love how people bashed Voros on that line and they gelled !

Also it gives the 3rd line some more balance scoring with Dawes, Korps, Cally.............

liking what I see now get Fritsche in for Orr tommorow

I'd actually rather keep Orr in, and have him faceoff against Cote(it's bound to happen) and Im also predicting a Richards-Voros bout.

I think it's obvious that management (much to the chagrin of Larry Brooks, etc...) will keep the rotation of fowards through this 7-11 stretch & then make tough decisions. Wouldn't surprise me to see Dawes sit for Fritsche or even Prucha though at Philly especially considering it's back-to-back.

Also, on a sidenote I hope Girardi gets smarter with his aggressiveness on offense because he left Kalinin alone 1 or 2 too many times to deal with odd-man breaks.

I'd give him two more games. If he doesn't register a point, or at least stand out at for an extended period of time, I would send him back to the AHL. I know it's early, but he's been invisible all through the preseason and the first three games. At best he has been decent

Look, I'm not saying he doesn't have the skill to be on this team. His confidence is just non-existent right now. If the first two lines weren't scoring, we would make a much bigger deal out of this. Since they are though, most people are willing to give him a pass right now
