Downloading NYR Highlights From nhl.com

I love making Rangers videos and posting them onto YouTube. RealPlayer downloads the s*** I need to make 'em, but it won't allow me to download from nhl.com, so I have to get the (mostly low quality) highlights off of YouTube. Anyway, does anyone know what software I can get that can download the highlights from nhl.com? Thanks.

I swear by Mozilla FireFox. With FireFOx and the free add-on Download Helper, you can download pretty much any video embedded into any page, including NHL.com. I download Mets highlights all the time from MLB.com.

problems ...

Hello!

I try to use the plugin "Video DownloadHelper" (newest version 3.3, default settings) with a fresh installed Firefox (newest version 3.0.3, default settings, no other plugins are installed) to download the daily highlights from nhl.tv(.com), but it doesn't work. Have you make any special settings?

After trying many tools, ways and settings the only working thing is the tool "Replay Media Catcher" for IE and Firefox to catch the flash videos. But it's a trial version and runs out after one month, so this isn't really a solution for the future...

Try using a non 3.0 version of firefox, not all the plugins that worked with 2.X are working with 3.0 so far.

we had this discussion before. nhl.com has done something to block recording of streams. its what stopped me from making my music video for this season.

Exactly, Ferno and I hav been trying to come up with a way around it, but Im still having rather ****** luck, it allows you to dl some videos but not all in my case, and absolutely none of the specific person highlights....its been pissing me off since the last thread....
