Rangers and Leafs

Seeing as Brendan is almost a Ranger again, I think that players like Prucha, Sjostrom and Fritsche are the odd men out. NY needs the cap space and it would give Prucha a chance to play quality minutes.
How about :
White and a fourth
Prucha, and one of Sjostrom or Fritsche.

No thanks. We don't need white......at all. and Sjostrom seems to be back in the lineup.

Who is Brendan?

Value wise it's fair, but the Rangers don't need White really.

Shanahan is apparently waiting for the Rangers to clean up space , according to all the major sport networks and they are about eight hundred thousand under the cap right now. Prucha was a healthy scratch tonight and seeing as him and Fristche are both upcoming RFA's next year any team in need of offense would do well in moving for them. The Rangers need defense and White is a versatile player who can play both defense and forward. OF course the Rangers could be interested in someone like Cola. but it would cost Prucha and a pick thrown back Toronto's way.

We don't need any NHL players right now. If one of Prucha or Sjostrom or Rissmiller is traded then it will be for either a prospect or a draft pick.

haha. I was confused at first, I was saying to myself. Who the **** is brendan? We don't need defense, though. How about:

Prucha
for
Hayes and a 4th?

Why would Toronto move Hayes a second round pick and then move a fourth on top of that for a player who was a healthy scratch. If anything it would be a second coming back Toronto's way. Since Toronto has too many defensemen how about Toronto moves Stralman and a fourth for Prucha and Bobby Sanguinetti.

No way. Prucha isn't worth close to that right now. He's pretty uch a salary dump. If the Rangers trade him I very highly doubt they get that kind of value for him.

Okay, that was a bit much of a stretch. We don't need Dmen though. We have Potter and Fahey, NHL ready waiting for a move so either one can get moved up. What about Ben Winnett or Viktor Stalberg and a 5th for Prucha?

Ryan Hollweg got a 5th. We can easily get at least a 4th for Prucha.

The Leafs can't afford to trade draft picks.

Not firsts, not fourths, not sevenths.

okay....Ryan Hollweg is arguably the least talented player in the NHL. Prucha has scored 30 and 22 goals in a season. Your going into an argument where your not gonna win.

for a 26 year old winger?

yea, I think a 4th rounder would be worth it... the guy already had 2 40 point seasons, that's more than most 4th round picks can boast

so you wouldn't trade a 4th for a guy who in his 1st 2 seasons put up a combined 52 goals with 87 points?

he's had 1 bad year and suddenly he's not worth a 4th?

Prucha's numbers are very similar to Steen's, and Steen is only younger by a year and change... so Steen's not worth a 4th either?

I'd rather keep Prucha and dump the others: Rissmiller, Sjostrom, or Fritsche. Prucha is obviously the best player out of all of them. He has shown that he can do good. Nearly everyone has an off season once in a while.

Sjostrom was a beast last night, I want him to stay. I would do Prucha for white straight up, waive riss and sign shanny for 1 mill, we have a net cap savings of 800k.

Why are you looking to get a player back? We have too many forwards as it is.

I think the point is that Prucha could get quality minutes for the leafs. I also think the Petr is a free agent at season's end.

So if there was a deal to be made it would be contingent on resigning him.

its also true the the leafs should be acquiring picks not trading them, so its not a good matchup. The rangers valued him enough to pay him the contract and he did score major goals for the club not so long ago. Not only that but prucha is the current club leader in goals scored in a rangers uniform.

if the leafs don't want to pay the price then the rangers just keep him.

personally I think Peter is a good match for the preds who have a history of dealing with the rangers. But perhaps Hornquist will fill the Radulov gap...

further I believe coach asked Petr to be more defensively responsible and took him off Jagr's line. From everything I have read and seen Petr did what coach asked him to do, which was to become a better overall player.

I also prefer NOT to sign Shanny and keep prucha (if I had a choice)

keeping Fritsche and prucha over Shanny is also a smart move.

Or Shanny can pull a Forsberg and play half the season and be fresh for the playoffs.
