Those two plays by Korpi with like 2 min left are going to get overlooked, but that was excellent defense.

Awful job by the refs in this game, the only place I've seen more clutching and grabbing post lockout was in the Islanders mens room.

Glad we got the win but it still should have been 4-2.

man. great game. 4-0 is awesome.

im sorry. the refs were able to stop our mojo with their bogus calls. gave phily time to catch breath and make it a game. like we didnt know that would happen when we were up 4-0 after 1.

this league is so predictable. phily home opener. early blowout. refs get involved. close game. whatever.....

Vally came up HUGE. Without a doubt...they ran out of gas. Had it not been for the Richards interference goal...we wouldn't have had to sweat as much as we did down the stretch.

Zherdev wasnt beat. Im sorry but that puck should have NEVER gotten through, and Briere should have been crying from a hit.

John Giannone, who's subbing for Mr. Rosen, doesn't sound like a hockey announcer, IMO.

I hope the Rangers won't have too many Saturday games in the future!

BTW, any idea what NFL game Sam's calling?

I think you gotta take these 2 points and be happy with it..

.. the bottom line is this a team still recovering from a long trip overseas and playing back to back after a very emotional home opener, the flyers were completely rested and pumped up for their first game/home opener and somehow we walk away with 2 points and are 4-0

... rest up tomorrow boys....you know what time it is on monday

Be thankful to Biron lack of play and Valiquette for his quality of play. We didn't deserve to walk out with the full 2-points in this game. Biron played terrible, we took advantage of it, went of 4 - 0 after the first, and after that Philadelphia took control.

Drury played a good game despite not finishing on his scoring chances. Roszival played a solid game defensively. Mara played with an edge. On the Flyers end, Richards, Gagne, and Briere were nearly unstoppable. Richards in particular played a heck of a game, what I come to expect from him [wish we had him on our team].

That said, lets be happy for the full 2-pts here.

That was just insane. Happy to get the win and faceoff against the Devils (who so far aren't having the greatest time putting in goals) But yeah it's still early. Can't wait for Monday!

Flyer hatred grew tonight.

Glad we came out with the clean win. No OT, no shootout, no points for the Division rival.

That really, REALLY should have never been that close or nerve-wracking.

That said, I'll take the 2 points happily and get the hell out of there. It was shades of the Montreal game at times, but when everything was said and done, it was still a regulation win over a division opponent we will be fighting for the Atlantic with all season long. You have to wonder if last season's team would have held on.

Niittymaki was great in relief but Valiquette once again proved that he's got the Flyers' number.

100% on the PK. if we keep that up we wont ever lose. now we just need to step-up the PP.

not really. If it were Giants-Cowboys or Giants-Eagles I'd understand but the Giants will steamroll over the Browns.
