Who would have expected this team to win 40 + games (with what 17 games left if we are .500 we will have 40 at least) this season if you asked a Habs fan that question in July?

Not too many, maybe just some of us die-hards or optomistic fans.

i remember thinking it would be worse than last seasons 70 pts. i was willing to take a step back to take steps forward and wasnt expecting a winning season. 5 more wins and were guaranteed a .500 season.

And it looks to only get better from here on out with the kids stepping in soon.

there are 19 games left now. a 10-9 finish would mean a 92 pt season. we havent had 92 pts in a season since getting 96 pts in 1993-1994. thats 10 years ago!!!!!!!!!

17 games, we have played 65, so 65+17=82, so maybe we can go 10-7 or 11-6, maybe even 12-5 :O

Scary thing is that could only be 7th or 8th position...shows how well a team has to play to make it. I remember the days of the Whalers making it to the playoffs with 72 points, those are long gone.

awsome news....as a bandwagon habs fan (I swear in front of my TV when they lose, do a few ritual and sometimes blame me for the loss (ie: I go eat some food and the other team scores ) I rarely blame players, tendency to blame goaltenders, I would like a trade right now. <---- that is me.

Now, to go back on topic, awsome news cause (as a bandwagon fan) I really thought habs were doing worse than this. And after the pityful show the last week, I thought February would be sub .500.

Finally, I will try not to talk about me anymore in my future posts, so that's my last post with subtle infos on myself and my character(sp?)

C ya.
