Game 2: Canucks @ Flames - 8:00pm MT - CBC & the Fan 960

Here's hoping or a better outcome in the rematch for the Home Opener. It'll be nice to have Regehr back in the lineup.

Quote:
Here's how the Flames were running their lines Saturday morning in anticipation of tonight's rematch with the Orcas:

Bertuzzi-Langkow-Iginla

Cammalleri-Lombardi-Bourque

Glencross-Conroy-Moss

Prust-Primeau-Roy

The D pairings are:

Pardy-Phaneuf

Regehr-Sarich

Vandermeer-Aucoin

Which makes Nystrom, Boyd and Giordano the designated sitters.
http://communities.canada.com/calgar...e-edition.aspx

Not sure what Keenan is thinking here in pairing Pardy with Phaneuf while Giordano sits.

Go Go!

Nystrom should be playing, he's much better than Roy or Prust. But I guess the agitator/tough guy roles were needed.

Wtf is Boyd doing sitting while Bourque plays on the second line? Keenan, you idiot, the kid made mistakes but he's still better than Bourque.

Lol, Bourque needs to redefine his role out there. If we wanted a dangler, we could have gone for Huselius again.

Bourque sucks and should never play in front of Boyd.

It looks as if the Flames are getting the same "iron Mike" results as we did few years back. Id be concered if i were you.

I'm sure if we start to get those results too often, Sutter will step in.

wtf is up with keenans decision making.. conroy on the first line? benching boyd for prust? pardy on the first d line? (he played good in the first game, but first line? thats a bit of a stretch, even with regehr coming back from injury) and its still mind boggling that glencross isnt playing with cammy and lombo.. i mean, was it just me or didnt they have great chemistry in the preseason?

I hate to say this but I really want you guys to win tonight. Don't get me wrong, I dislike both your teams equaly, but we don't want Vancouver fans to get too big of head now do we?

Why isn't Boyd playing? At least he's shown some decent offensive hands, especially in the pre season.

People are pretty upset already. I am excited to see how they react. This will be the first opportunity they have to face adversity. That can pull a team together. They sure had a bit of a reality check. Should be a good lesson and a rallying point for them.

One other thing, the Flames don't need an injection of offence, they need some toughness. I don't know if you guys noticed or not, but they were outhit and outhustled by Vancouver. That is why Keenan's lineup looks like that.

By the look of it that line up it is designed to bring the pain.

Win or lose this will be a "bloodly" good game tonight.

I am hopeful of a 3-1 win for Calgary.

Go Flames!

Your boys will do better tonight. I can't see Iginla not rallying the team after a bad loss. At the very least, Iginla is in and of himself a game changer. If he plays as well as he can he is a machine.

I'm going to wait until the season ends before I pass judgment on Keenan. Last year's playoff exit was nothing to be ashamed about. If we don't make it past the first round or don't make the playoffs all together, Mike Keenan has to go.

Canucks fan here but i come in peace.

Honestly tonight i think the game will be much tighter and very close but i dont think calgary can pull out the win. First off kipper always seem's to suck against the canucks and add the fact that kipper and the team are slow starters it does not look good.

But i wouldnt look to much into these games in october for you guys. You always seem to have horrible records in october and then bam 10 wins in a row. I think if calgary still starts to play bad in november then i really think its time to fire him and bring back sutter to the bench.

I really hope all the canadian teams make the playoffs even the leafs it would be a dream as long as its not of the expense of the canucks.

Good luck this season but your going down tonight!!!!
