Montreal uniforms

Can someone tell me if the uniforms the Canadiens are wearing occasionally this season are retro jerseys or are they a third jersey? If you saw tonight's game, I am referring to those. Boston is wearing a retro jersey this season, though not tonight, in addition to their third jersey.

It's a retro jersey and they're annoying because we can't see the damn numbers on TV.

Thanks for the response. Have the locals been criticizing the jerseys?

Maybe I was wrong. I just saw the game-winning goal highlight while watching the Blues-Avs game.

They are both as noted above, and I love them and own one (lucky me). The best was the retro night when we played the Rags and they had their old jerseys. I swear it looked like Dale H. and the Jets out there hehe.

I am glad I am not the only one who made that connection. The Rangers-Bruins used their 70s style jerseys a few weeks ago and I thought I was seeing Winnipeg Part 2.

I don't mind, they only wear them a few times a year, and they look amazing. It only takes a half-second more to realize who has the puck, it's not that big of a deal. I have one too, it's really an awesome sweater.

I also have the Habs Red vintage jersey, it's also really sweet. I love the vintage theme this year, and I hope they continue it for the next couple of years. The Rangers and Canucks also have great vintage jerseys.

Also, can someone tell me the difference between the Bruins' vintage jersey and their regular black one?

Do you guys with the vintage Habs sweaters have names on the back?

I was thinking about getting a Ribs 71 or a Zed 20 one...

I don't. Mine's a plain white one. By plain I mean beautiful (and it's like heavy wool or something - very warm). I'd go with #9 or #11 myself.

I really like the whites. It's hard to see the numbers, but they're nice jerseys. The reds, though, don't seem much different from their regular home jerseys, other than the tie-up at the collar. For those who own them, are there any other differences?

I don't have a number on mine.

I've been reluctant ever since I put a #49 Savage on the regular white jersey I have.

Van, you should post those national sweaters again for those that missed them. Those were great and I can't find the link.
