In the regular season, potentially.
The defense still needs to be tweaked IMO (and probably in the opinion of most).

I just hope that when Trevors Timmins contract expire, we will offer him a hell of a raise to keep him until 2299...
Frankly if we are able to spend 1.7 mil on a 4th line player we can at least offer the same amount to him.
For the power house question, I will wait until hte end of the season but we look real good.

Well, I don't know... guys like Higgins/Lang, who got over 50 pts last season... on a 3rd line...
I think it says it all

We're going to win some games this year based on sheer depth and talent alone. I think the Flyers game was an example of this, we sleepwalk through 2 periods then decide to go score some goals. This is OK for the beginning of the regular season, but it's not how you become successful in the playoffs. Hard work and goaltending becomes way more important in the playoffs.

I wouldnt say so, until we have won our conference couple more times. Very good team, maybe.

Andrei is playing good hockey anyways. Really, when you look at that line they all have played well, they just haven't been able to finish at even strength. Andrei is doing what he needs to do out there; he is playing a physical game, causing turnovers and using his good hockey sense to both make room out there and find the open man. This line is playing well they are just not finishing, and trust me, they will.

This is the way I wanted it in the first place.. other than the swap of Andrei to RW, Tanguay to line one and Lats to LW.

Exactly. But not being accustomed to, just need to know what to do with that potential.
Still, people have to acknowledge that being a powerhouse doesn't necessarily mean that we'll have 30 points more than anybody else in the league. Detroit was a powerhouse last year. They had 7 points out of the 2nd place in their conference. That's 4 more wins.

Nobody cares if we're a powerhouse or not; the only thing we should care about is the output of Sergei Kostitsyn.

I personaly think that a Lats-Koivu-Tanguay can overthrow Big **** - Plec - Kovy as our first line.

Hmm I wonder how long it will be till Higgins is back on Koivus wing and Lats is drowning his miseries in some poutine.

I think Kostitsyn should be liberated from Pleks and Kovy. With all that talent, they should be combining for 3 goals a game, and clearly, A.Kost is being held back by being on the #1 line.
The only solution is to put him on his own. Line.
A.Kost
Higgins -Plekanec-Kovalev
Tanguay-Koivu-Tender
S.Kost-Lang-Kosto
Lapierre-Laraque
Edit: somehow Carbo still managed to put him on his off-wing
