RIP..
Thats tragic, theres notes in the article that it may of took 20 minutes for him to get to a hospital, and the on site defibrillator may not have been in working order. Tragic news.. wish his family all the best.

That's unbelievably tragic. Imagine how Jagr feels if that is what happened.... not only are lives ruined from Alex's family and friends... but from Jagr's perspective, that really hits too close to home

Poor Jagr, the guy is a classact, never dirty and this happens. The fact he sat there screaming at him to get up shows he was scared to death. His love for the game may never be the same.

As for this kid, Rangers tried so hard to get him to play but he wanted to honor his contract and come when it was over. I wish he would have because I hate hearing hockey players die like this.

R.I.P., you had a great future.

Damn - that's horrible. was this the guy who was expected to go higher - but who we could have drafted if we kept our pick last year?

different draft. TO traded their pick to SJ in the Cherepanov draft.

This is horrible, the next jagr is gone far too soon, before he even had a chance in the NHL.

A bad year with tragedies in hockey. Mickey Renaud, Luc Bourdon and now Alexei Cherepanov.

RIP, truly a shame. No justice whatsoever.

And it's sad a player like Jagr will probably get the blame from some people.

It really makes you think. It could have been anyone.

I was discussing this with someone from the board earlier. If/how many topics might pop up blaming Jagr in some aspect.

Flat out remarks like that, if made shouldn't be tolerated. I'm not trying to play the role of LeafsGuru or Squiffy here, but they'd be uncalled for.

i really wanted the leafs to draft him

ironically, the second i posted in the GDT about us giving up the pick that could have landed us him (when we got Vesa)......a post is made about him dying

I like to think we won't get anything that stupid.. but don't worry if we do.
