“He jammed his hand on one of our power plays and didn’t feel he could hold the stick,” said Nashville coach Barry Trotz, who did not specify which hand was injured. “So we took him out and he will be evaluated (on Tuesday). He is day-to-day, looks like just a jam, we don’t think there is any break.”

Haha, got to love Trotz's highlevel medical talk.
A jam could equal a slight sprain/strain or it could mean torn ligaments. Thanks for nothing Trotz

Small fracture in one of his fingers. Out for at least next three games, will be re-evaluated after the weekend.

Ah well, we always seem to have an injury to start the year off. Hopefully this doesn't affect his hard shot.

uh oh. That doesnt instill confidence. We were a different team without him during the last part of the Chicago game.

Not if he was the last center on the roster.
I would just bump Bonk to the first line and let him play between Dumont and Hörnqvist. But we all know Trotz will play Peverley there just to p### all of us off.

Any updates? He's on my fantasy team and I was wondering if there was an official timetable.

He practiced today and supposedly looked fully healthy. He was taking shots and all. No word from the team though.

I say Fiddler and Hörnqvist, but Fids has the goat pictures so he'll probably sit Smithson instead.

Let's dress 4 defensemen- Weber, Suter, Hamhuis, and.... let's dress three defensemen.
Seriously, I wouldn't scratch Hornqvist even though he has struggled some. I think I'd scratch Jones again... along with Fiddler. I might even scratch Nichol to go with a bit more size, although he's done nothing to deserve it.

if Trotz scratches Fiddler I will pass out from shock. Although I think it has to be argued that Horns and Fids have contributed the least so far.
The Tennessean says that Ward has been practicing on the top line with Arnott-Dumont. So it isnt looking good for Hornqvist tonight.

Glennon: Hörnqvist to sit against Calgary
Also speculates that the other scratch will be Smithson or Bonk, so if that's any indicator, Smithson will be the other scratch and our lines will be something along these, erm, lines:
Peverley-Arnott-Dumont
Erat-Legwand-Jones
Fiddler-Nichol-Tootoo
Tarnasky-Bonk-Ward

Replace Peverley with Ward, and Peverley and Fiddler and I say its a good lineup.

Look at the way Jones responded to sitting.
Look at the way Peter Mueller responded when Gretzky parked him last year. He came back and scored 20 goals.
Sometimes sitting for a game or two can be a good thing for a younger player. It gives them a chance to watch and analyze.
