Rangers Love Thread

Just posting this for good comments.

I liked last nights game, The lines were beautiful, the defense was poised, the 2nd line is rocking and Cally scored a shorthander.

Let's rock and roll all the way to buffalo.

Lines
Naslund - Gomez - Drury
Voros - Dubi - Z
Korp - Fritche - Cally
Sjo - Betts - Orr

D
Redden - Rosi
Staal - Mara
Kalinin - Girardi

This is what we need to roll with the rest of the season, Rismiller on the edge to come in when needed....and drop those two has beens, oh sorry never wases Prucha and Dawes.

You are making a tread for good comments only and you bash two of the players on the team.

Funny ain't it. Some people have to throw in a cheap shot whenever they can at certain people.

Although I don't know what Fritsche or Korpikoski did last night that warrant them playing over Prucha/Dawes.

Ya Korpo has been fairly invisible so far. The easiest move is to send him down to the Wolf Pack, move Fritsche into that spot, and let the other guys get some ice time while they try to move a body or two. Gives them the option to call us a D man, and that will be Potter since Fahey (I believe) has to go thru waivers to get back up.

I think Korpikoaki is going to be fine, He drove to the net really well last night and we got a PP from that. He is very strong along the boards.

Fritsche looked lost, I thought we would have seen more from him being it was his first game.

I think it's time to give Prucha another turn. The 3rd line really hasn't looked very good since the two games in Europe.

Team can still play way better but def happy with the 5-0 start. No need to start any hatred or debates with Dawes or Pru. Keep the love going in this thread.

We've already fixed it a few times this season when it aint been broke, and the fixes have worked so far.

Very happy with the start of the season, we have areas to improve on, but 10 points out of 10 is beautiful.

Yup, nice getting the first 10 points in the standings out of the gate...we only need 1.1 ppg the rest of the way to make the playoffs!

i agree with u...but im talking about putting players like dawes in when we dont need them right now. im very content with 5-0 i didnt think we'd be at 5-0 or have a 5 game winning streak at any point. i was optimistic about this group but i didnt see this. if were playing good hockey like this up to all star break, then i ill start calling for a division win

this would be the lines i would love to see for the rest of the season....

naslund-gomez-drury
voros-dubinsky-zherdev
dawes-korpikoski-callahan
sjostrom-betts-fritsche/orr

i wouldnt mind seeing prucha and rissmiller traded....to me that third line would be a more offensively oriented line with dawes on it.....let the guy get going and if he doesnt work out let him go, but he looked very good last season....there is no reason to think he just lost all of his skill

I'm right there with you. I don't think Orr is a every day player, though I have been impressed with his improvement. I think with Fritsche that line offers speed and more opportunities to score while still being good defensively. Orr for more physical opponents. Dawes will get it together. Prucha could learn to finish but I think his time here is over. Which is sad cause I really liked him. Rissmiller has shown me nothing.

has anyone else been really, really impressed with the chances betts has been getting.....honestly, i didnt think he had it in him(which is the reason, IMO for rissmiller) but he has been putting pressure on the opposing defenseman, hitting and creating scoring chances.....thats all you can ask for from the 4th line....just creat havoc and throw pucks at the net....
