OT: Monopoly - World Edition + Montreal Canadiens Edition

Who says us Montrealers are only good at stuffing all-star ballots?

Montreal got the top spot in the new Monopoly: World Edition.

Ironic considering Montreal is a pretty cheap city to live in overall, especially when you compare it to other large north american cities.

I don't know if I'm proud that we won.. or ashamed that thousands of internet dwellers from Montreal stuffed the ballot.

Daaaaaaaamn!

I never thought we would get boardwalk. I thought for sure we would get a spot on the board.

It seem like nobody can surpass the zealousness of Montreal residents.

maybe THIS will convince Sundin.

Two other Canadian cities made it into the game -- Toronto and Vancouver -- but they're both in the lower half of the properties.

I can't believe how some people are peeved at Montreal taking boardwalk.

It is a beautiful city. Per capita, it's one of the big cities with the most trees. Crime is not rampant.

If there were 5 million votes, I guess it just shows the appreciation people from Montreal have for their own city.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the vote for the top 22, but then edit it to keep it regional? So, Canada got 3 cities, so it should be one of the sets of 3. I think that would make more sense.

I hope a lot of people will end on Montreal before passing "go". We need the money, with all those holes in the streets.

I guess this goes to show that voting in the cities wasn't a good idea.

Montreal and Riga.

A tiny bit of retribution for the previous Monopoly travesty of having the Leafs as "Broadway" to the Habs' "Park Place" on the NHL version of the board.

Proud.

Other cities had those dwellers trying to do it, we just did it that much better.

Like somebody said earlier, it's ironic because montreal is cheap, rental and buying wise when it comes to housing compared to other cities. The actual city of halifax has higher rates than montreal.
