Let me tell you a little story about acting. I was doing this Showtime movie, Hot Ice, with Anne Archer. Never once touched my per diem. I’d go to craft service, get some raw veggies, bacon, cup-a-soup... baby, I had a stew going.

So many good memories in this thread, im laughing out loud at work. This was the funniest show on TV hands down.

I agree with whoever said you have to rewatch this show, much like anchorman, to really grasp how damn funny it actually is (not comparing anchorman and AD humour wise, You have to know the characters well to get most of the jokes, otherwise it just doesnt have much of an effect. The humour is so subtle at times, but when you actually pick it up, most of it is incredibly clever.

This is easily enough reason for me to get Netflix. Hell I pay almost 20 bucks a month just for a Game of thrones and a few other shows on HBO (really only the newsroom at this point..), so 7 dollars is nothing for new and old episodes of one of the greatest shows ever.

Too lazy to look through the entire thread, but does anyone know if there's still a movie being planned?

Rewatching the series and have just finished the second season, why do I sense that the movie and 4th season will be massive disappointments?

Because that's how it it with almost everything. When an old band gets back together, it usually sucks.

I'm still holding out hope for this, though.

I think the new season will be great, but the movie might be hit or miss.

Yeah so I followed the advice you guys gave me and kept on watching... Jesus Christ this show is brilliant. My previous favorite comedy was Community, but this easily eclipses it. I'm just at the end of Season 2, I'm trying to appreciate the show by taking my time watching it. It's gonna be a sad day when I get to the end of Season 3. I cannot believe this show got cancelled.

Oh, it gets even better when you re-watch it. So many subtle jokes I missed the first time around that were absolutely brilliant.

Including some jokes that could only ever be intended for people to realize after their first run. Like with that hand-chair Buster had lost, and found at his Mexican maid's house. When he saw it there, he said "I never thought I could miss a hand so much", which was just funny in an absurd way when you saw it the first time, but with the knowledge of what's coming up, that just blew my mind...

The inside and callback jokes were handled so incredibly well in AD. It never felt like laziness or that the writers were just reusing jokes for a cheap laugh (cough *Family Guy* cough).
