I wish Dallas would just show something here... throw some hits, have some good possession in the offensive zone.. anything really

come on Tobias Stephan, get that 1 period shutout

Well, to be fair, that PP at the end of the 1st last night looked good. All 2 seconds of it.

you guys are totally going to miss the 5 goal comeback

I'm holding out hope that James Neal gets his goal, but I can't see it happening tonight

Just stupid Morrow.

This is a reversion to the Morrow of old, the Morrow before the responsibilities of leadership.

Brunnstrom's got great instincts. He's going to score in this league, last night was no fluke.

well done morrow

I wonder what effect this game has on the season... sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to climb back up.. could this be the start of a 10 game winning streak?

too many more games like this and I think we can award the Pacific division title to San Jose by the end of November.

Turco was far from the biggest problem tonight. He was the only reason the Blues didn't reach double-digits in goals.

Turco hasn't played well at all this season, you don't get scored on 4 or 5 times consistently without playing like crap. The d in front of him certainly didn't help but there was nothing good to write home about tonight, minus maybe Brunnstrom's pretty good play thus far. This was an awful game and I hope we fare better against the Avs, though they're the perfect time to blow us apart with speed and skill.

He made two good saves. But he made several stupid moves as well. I hate his little flick passes from behind the net; he's putting the already shaky defensemen in constant pressure by throwing the puck into traffic. Don't get my started about his five-hole that the opposition are using as a toilet.

It'd been teased on the FSN post-game show that the Stars just had a closed-door meeting. I hope there was some hell raised.

EDIT: Tip looks mad during the post-game interview. He said the goaltending has been poor and the top players have not put any hard work in.

I so predicted this on Andrews. *preens*

SB - I don't think Turco has been good at all this season, but I think this game the goals were a symptom of breakdowns from other guys. IIRC, the goals were breakaway, screened, backside/no coverage/bad bounce, 5-on-3 screened and screened. He could have certainly been better, but the more concerning problems lay elsewhere.

I guess piqued and Tippett were watching the same game because he just came out and said that it falls on the goalie to keep them in the game. Tip said it doesn't take the other 19 guys off the hook, but the goaltending has been bad.

Fair enough.

The goaltending has been bad. I just saw so much other bad out there tonight, perhaps I got caught up in that.

having read all that though, it wouldnt hurt some of the skaters to put there body on the line and get in the shooting lane, i felt that has been pretty noticeable over the first 4 games...our D have been good offensively but a shadow of what it was last year on the defensive side...

you can really see the loss Norstrom is having on the D...
