Somewhat inspired by the Jim Carey thread.
The lockout year of 95 featured two hot rookie goalies, Jim Carey (who won a vezina the following year) and Blaine Lacher who, I believe, was out of the league by christmas the following year.
I remember Boston having great hope for Lacher and him basically just disappearing. Bruins fans? Historians? What happened to Blaine Lacher?
Call it the Steve Penney syndrome. Although Lacher didnt have any playoff success. I dont know personally what happened to him but even his style and such made you think he was just a flash in the pan, he wasnt spectacular by any means.
