Hope the B's win this one, so they don't fall too far behind in the division. Hopefully I get the chance to watch this game - our 8 day old son likes to keep us occupied for most of the day. His life is the life of royalty; eat, burp, poop, sleep, wash, rinse, repeat.
Right, and thats a fair argument. However, I could easily say that Axe hasn't shown he can score consistently at the NHL level (260 pts in 725 games = .36 ppg...) either, and clearly you can see that it is a much larger sample size, and SOB in his 50 games has been pretty much solely on the 4th line. Again.. I get where you're coming from and you're right, that line is playing quite well. Still doesn't mean it can't play better and I think SOB should at least get a shot up there to prove what he can do. Hopefully we see that happen at some point this year.
I think he does have scoring role potential, but it would send a bad message to the team if he didn't work his way up to that spot. Axelsson is going to get injured at some point, and if Sobotka consistently generates some offense and plays his game, Julien is the type of coach who will give him a look at that spot. He's only 21, and while we've seen that our youth can hang in the bigs, it's still very important that we be patient with them.
Anyone else a little surprised Thornton is in there instead of Nokie? Theres really no heavyweight on the Sens and clearly Nokie is a better "hockey player" than Thornton. Oh well. Maybe Thorns will go with Neil.
