Seems like a bit of an overreaction to a bad start six games into the season...

I can't wait until Nash signs a 7-8 year extension in the off-season and all of these garbage proposals go away for a long time.

You seriously think that will stop them?

The reason the proposals are garbage is because every one (not every one actually) just assumes that because Nash hasn't ever scored over 70 points that he isn't a huge star in the league. To the HF community he is not but I guarantee to every single NHL team when they play CBJ they know what Rick Nash can bring to the table.

He can score goals on offense, he can pass the puck well, he can handle the puck well, he is an absolute beast on the PK, He can play a grinding role, if you want him to he can stand in front of the net he can and will, he is one of the maybe 2 to 3 players that can just drive the puck to the net anytime he wants, he is a very coach-able player and a solid role model for the youth in the community, and he is one of the few elite power forwards in the league right now.

29 teams would be lining up to put together a package for him if he ever became available via trade. Getzlaf is a great player but he cannot do the things that Rick Nash can do with the puck or on the PK. With that being said no way would I ever give up Rick Nash for Getzlaf straight up even though Getzlaf might be pretty close to a pure lateral move.

Despite getz slow start, the ducks wouldn't deal Getzlaf for Nash straight up either.

Awful trade proposals for star players will never go away. Malkin resigned and people are still acting like he'll be traded.
