Hit was clean, IMO. Andrei has to learn to keep his eyes open.
Regardless, we showed great team spirit and unity. Gotta like Georges "doesn't step in for teammates according to Pens fans" Laraques doing his part....his presence will pay increasing dividends as the season wears on.
Great game by the Koivu line.....D was rock solid for the most part and Price looked confident and in control.
Mixed feelings about the hit. Akost should always mind his surroundings but Sauer shouldn't have laid a killer hit like that on someone with his head turned specially when that player has no longer possession of the puck. Hopefully he just got the wind knocked out of him but I think it's gotta be a concussion.
Good team unity out there. Love the Koivu line. Pleks line doing some nice things but not bearing any fruit yet, I'm still not worried. Laraque doing his job wonderfully and sending out the message. They got the job done, let's hope Akost is ok.
Higgins takes his spot, and that would be the only change I think.
D'Agostini would be the logical call-up, he's due, he's playing well. Stewart would be an option, but I don't think it would make sense or be fair to take him over D'Agostinit.
Pacioretti has not adapted to the AHL yet. Give him some games.

A+ to Carbonneau for knowing how and when to use Laraque, and A+ to Laraque knowing what to do out there, and for playing decent hockey while doing it.
Just watched the hit again on RDS and it's not as dirty as I thought, but it's still a penalty. The first part of the hit is just solid & legal...than he brings his arm up into Kostitsyn's face...that's clearly elbowing or whatever you want to call it.
Anyways, I'm quite happy of Big Georges. Tanguay is also excellent and Lang is okay.
